Webby Winston wants 16 house knocks, 10 Webbed catches inside Webridden Cavern, and 15 Cobweb Cod. Turn in all three tasks to open the Webweaver Rod room, then buy the limited FischFright 3 rod separately; its spiders make it useful for farming Webbed fish.
How to Reach Webby Winston in Fisch
From Moosewood, take the Flying Dutchman at the east dock and speak with its captain to reach Caustic Hallow. The Candy Bucket is added to your inventory when you arrive, but you need to equip or hold it before knocking on houses.
Webby Winston is inside Webridden Cavern, just to the right of the Witch’s Cauldron. His approximate GPS coordinates are -15069, 142 to 145, -9981 to -9983. Talk to him to start the FischFright 2026: Webby Winston quest. The three counters appear in your Quest Book and can be completed in any order. If the tracker does not open, choose “What’s blocking the grotto entrance?” and then “What do I need to do?”
Trick-or-Treat at All 16 Houses
Equip the Candy Bucket and knock once at each unique Caustic Hallow house.
The 16 house numbers are 111, 167, 249, 293, 358, 374, 429, 467, 477, 506, 632, 666, 745, 813, 891, and 979. House 429 is across from House 745 near -14725, 147, -9719. You may also see that door labeled 426. Use the number shown at that location and follow the Quest Book counter if the label differs. Catch Webbed Fish and Cobweb Cod
The two fishing tasks can overlap in Webridden Cavern, but they have different rules: Webbed catches only count toward Winston’s mutation task when you land them inside the cavern, while Cobweb Cod count anywhere in Caustic Hallow.
Fish the cavern’s green pool until the Webbed counter reaches 10. A Webbed abundance appears at intervals by the bridge around -15058, 142.9, -9923 and raises the mutation chance by 10%, making it a useful spot to wait for the right catches.
For the other counter, catch 15 Cobweb Cod in Caustic Hallow waters and bring them to Webby Winston. They can come from the cavern pool too, so you can work on both fishing tasks in one session.
Turn In the Quest and Buy the Webweaver Rod
Once the Quest Book shows all three tasks complete, return to Winston and turn them in. The silk barrier opens, and the quest payout is 1,000 Treats and 8,000 XP. Go through the opening and interact with the Webweaver Rod to make the separate purchase.
Plan on 1,000 Treats, which matches the quest payout. If the altar shows 2,000 Treats instead, you’ll need 1,000 more, so read its displayed price before spending your Treats.

The Webweaver Rod pairs high Luck and Lure Speed with low Control and Resilience. Its main draw is the Webbed mutation passive, not its handling stats.

Three spiders follow you without taking a companion slot. While you fish, they make a web beneath you. Catches landed while you stand on that web get the Webbed mutation; away from the web, the rod has a 10% chance to apply it. Spider attacks can also add up to five venom bites, each worth 5% True Progress Speed.
