Anime Vanguards Wrath Event Guide: How to Choose Sins, Farm Wrath Coins, and Earn Rewards

Updated on September 14, 2026 (about 5 hours ago)

Anime Vanguards' Wrath Event, introduced in the Wrathful Assault update, gives you a modifier choice before every run. The seven Sins are not items to collect; they change how your team fights for that match. The actual farming target is Wrath Coins, with a completed Normal run paying 100 and Hard paying 200.

Here's how to enter the event, understand every Sin, choose a modifier that fits your roster, and work out how many clears you need for the shop rewards.

How to Start the Anime Vanguards Wrath Event

Go to the central lobby and speak with the History's Strongest NPC. He is near central-lobby landmarks such as the Group beacon tower and The Doctor NPC. Select the Wrath Event option in his interaction, and double-check the name before confirming because the same NPC also handles another event.

You can also open the event without finding the NPC:

  1. Open the Event tab on the right side of the screen.
  2. Select Special Event.
  3. Choose Wrath Event from the list.
  4. Click the green Play button on the left side of the event panel.

Both routes open the same Wrath Event setup screen.

How the Anime Vanguards Wrath Event Works

The event takes place on the Shining Castle map and lasts 15 waves. You choose Normal or Hard, then select exactly one of the seven Sins before the run begins. That modifier stays active for the entire run, so read the effect before you start placing units.

The complete Sin list is below. The effects are different enough that the strongest choice depends on whether your team relies on one carry, several damage dealers, repeated hits, or a strong farm setup.

SinEffect
WrathEach time a unit hits an enemy it has already hit, that unit gains 50% damage for 30 seconds. The bonus stacks without a stated limit.
PrideOnly one unit can be placed, but it deals 5x damage, has 50% more range, and can be placed anywhere on the map.
GreedThe first non-farm unit you upgrade becomes the only non-farm unit you can upgrade further. Every copy of that unit deals 4x damage.
LustSelling a fully upgraded unit refunds its placement cost and leaves a copy that cannot be sold or copied again.
EnvyThe strongest non-farm unit loses 30% damage, and every other non-farm unit matches that unit's damage.
SlothAll enemies move 30% slower.
GluttonyFarms pay out a second time at the end of every wave.

After choosing one Sin during setup, clear all 15 waves to finish the run and receive the event payout.

Best Sins for Farming Wrath Coins in Anime Vanguards

There is no single best Sin for every roster. Your best farming choice is the modifier that improves a strategy you can already execute consistently, especially if you are deciding whether Hard's higher payout is worth the risk.

Envy for a mixed damage roster

Envy is a useful option when one non-farm unit is clearly stronger than the rest of your damage team. It reduces that strongest unit's damage by 30%, then brings the other non-farm units up to the same damage level. That can make a mixed roster more even, but the penalty may not be worth it if your top unit normally carries the entire run.

Pride for a one-unit plan

Pride is built around a single powerful unit. The 5x damage, extra range, and anywhere-placement rule can make that unit extremely flexible, but you give up the ability to place a wider team. Choose it when your roster can reliably handle 15 waves with one unit doing the work.

Wrath for repeated hits

Wrath suits a team that keeps attacking the same enemies. Repeated hits build the temporary damage bonus, and the stacking effect rewards sustained attacks instead of constantly switching targets. If your enemies disappear before a unit can build those hits, another Sin may give you a more immediate benefit.

Greed for a planned carry

Greed works best when you already know which non-farm unit you want to build around. Your first non-farm upgrade determines which non-farm unit can be upgraded further, while every copy of that unit gets 4x damage. Treat that first upgrade as a commitment instead of spending it on a unit you may replace later.

When Sloth, Gluttony, or Lust makes more sense

Sloth is the practical choice when enemy movement is the problem: making every enemy 30% slower gives your defenses more time to deal damage. Gluttony is better when farm income is holding your run back, since farms pay out a second time at the end of every wave. Lust gives you more room to reposition a fully upgraded unit because selling it refunds the placement cost, although the copy left behind cannot be sold or copied again.

Hard requires fewer clears for the same shop target because it pays twice as many Wrath Coins as Normal, but it only helps if you can finish it reliably. Start with the Sin that makes your roster stable, then move to Hard once you can complete the 15 waves without depending on a risky setup.

Anime Vanguards Wrath Event Rewards and Shop Costs

A completed run pays 100 Wrath Coins on Normal or 200 Wrath Coins on Hard. After earning the currency, use the Wrath Event Shop to exchange it for the following rewards.

1,000-coin rewards

RewardCost
Black Smith's Hammer1,000 Wrath Coins
Holy Sword1,000 Wrath Coins
Iron Helmet1,000 Wrath Coins
Scrap Bluntsword1,000 Wrath Coins
Witch's Staff1,000 Wrath Coins

10-coin rewards

RewardCost
Corruption Crystal10 Wrath Coins
Elemental Shard10 Wrath Coins
Memoria Shard10 Wrath Coins
Phoenix Shard10 Wrath Coins
Trait Rerolls10 Wrath Coins

The clear math is simple for the 1,000-coin rewards: you need 10 Normal clears or 5 Hard clears if you finish every run and receive only the listed base payout. Hard cuts the clear count in half because its payout is double.

By price alone, one Normal clear gives you enough currency for ten 10-coin purchases, while one Hard clear gives you enough for twenty. Those are payout calculations, so they do not account for bonus currency or any shop stock limits.

Pick the hardest difficulty you can clear consistently, then pair it with the Sin your roster can exploit. Envy helps even out a mixed team, Pride supports a one-unit strategy, Wrath rewards repeated hits, and Greed rewards a carefully chosen first upgrade. Once you have a 1,000-coin reward in mind, the 5-Hard or 10-Normal clear plan tells you exactly how much farming it takes.
