Anime Expeditions Kitsune Guide: How to Unlock and Use the Exclusive Support Unit

Updated on September 1, 2026 (1 day ago)

Kitsune is a fixed reward from Kitsune Bingo in Anime Expeditions, not a banner pull. Open Events, earn Stamps in supported modes, finish Board #1, and claim her through the board or Event Quests flow. After that, she supports your team with ally buffs and a charged damage window.

Open Kitsune Bingo and start earning Stamps

From the lobby, open Events and choose Kitsune Bingo. The board shows the objectives for the event. Use those live objectives instead of copying an old tile list.

Defeated enemies in Story, Infinite, Challenge, Mastery, Raid, Portal, Tower, and Tidal Siege can award Stamps. You spend those Stamps on the board's spaces. If you are already working through Tidal Siege activities in Anime Expeditions, those clears can feed the same Stamp route.

Do not plan around a fixed Stamp rate. Check whether the board credits your mode and whether the next tile is complete.

Complete the first board and claim Kitsune

Finish every objective on the first board, also called Board #1. Completing that full board gives Kitsune as a fixed reward, so the milestone is guaranteed once the board is complete.

When the completion state appears, use the board or Event Quests flow to claim the reward with the current on-screen control. Button wording can change with the live UI, so follow the label shown in your client.

Board #1 is the standard Kitsune route. Repeat-board progress belongs to the separate Shiny Kitsune goal, not the regular Kitsune reward.

How Kitsune's support kit works

Kitsune is an Exclusive support unit. She is not built to be a normal damage dealer, and she has a three-placement limit.

Her regular attacks power the support loop.

Red Herring. Kitsune starts with 0 Skill Points. Regular attacks add 1, up to a capacity of 3.

Dreamdiver. When Kitsune has a Skill Point, she buffs the strongest eligible ally in range instead of attacking. The buff gives 25% lower SPA, meaning less time between attacks, and 25% higher attack speed for 20 seconds. If the current buff is already on a unit, the next strongest eligible ally can receive it.

Monodrama. A regular attack or buff application adds 20 Showtime, up to 100. Since each action adds 20, five such actions fill the meter.

The Hero with a Thousand Faces. The active fills Kitsune's Skill Points, lowers her SPA by 15% until those points are spent, and increases every allied unit's damage in range by 35% for 30 seconds. Its local cooldown is listed as 100 seconds.

The listed values can move with a balance update. Use the live ability panel as the final check if the numbers change.

How to use Kitsune after you unlock her

Place Kitsune where her range overlaps your main carry and as many other valuable allies as possible. That gives Dreamdiver more useful targets and makes the active's in-range damage buff easier to convert into real damage.

  1. Cover the carry. Keep your main damage unit inside Kitsune's range before you start building the loop.
  2. Let the support loop build. Give her time to generate Skill Points and Showtime through regular attacks and buff applications.
  3. Watch the next target. If one ally already has Dreamdiver, keep enough eligible units in range for the buff to move to the next strongest target.
  4. Use the active on a damage window. Trigger it for a boss, a difficult wave, or a moment when several important allies are in range. The damage boost lasts 30 seconds, while the listed local cooldown is 100 seconds.

For units that do use the Evolve menu, the Anime Expeditions evolution guide covers the shared lobby flow.

Kitsune questions and quick checks

Trait advice deserves a live check. Current recommendations do not line up well enough to call one trait universally best, so choose around the range and support setup you actually use.
