Anime Expeditions Eclipse Hunter Guide: How to Get and Evolve Eclipse Hunter (Savior)

Updated on September 11, 2026 (about 12 hours ago)

Eclipse Hunter is the Mythic support unit added in Anime Expeditions Update 2.5, with Neutral and Psychic typings. The important distinction is that Snowy Castle Act 2 gives you the base Eclipse Hunter, while Eclipse Hunter (Savior) requires a separate evolution route with a trial reward, three Sprite types, and Gold.

This guide covers the Act 2 drop chance and pity, optional Snowy Castle preparation, the complete Evolve checklist, and the Selected system that powers Savior's passives.

How to Get Eclipse Hunter in Anime Expeditions

Snowy Castle Act 2 is the acquisition gate for the base unit. Eclipse Hunter has a 5% chance to appear as an Act 2 reward, and the listed pity value is 20 clears.

Follow this route:

  1. Prepare for Snowy Castle if needed. Clear Act 1 several times to earn Coin Pouches, then spend them in the Raid Shop on Snowy Castle Totems. The Totems improve your damage for Snowy Castle runs. Their shop price and stock can change, so use the Raid Shop panel rather than planning around a fixed cost. This is useful preparation, not a separate requirement for the Eclipse Hunter drop.
  2. Enter Snowy Castle Raid Act 2. Clear the stage to roll the 5% Eclipse Hunter reward chance.
  3. Keep clearing Act 2 if the unit does not drop. Each clear contributes to the 20-clear pity value. Once the counter reaches 20, the reward is described as guaranteed, but the reset or carry-over behavior is not established, so follow the counter shown in your current raid panel.
  4. Confirm that you received the base unit. The Act 2 reward is Eclipse Hunter, not Eclipse Hunter (Savior). Savior is the result of the separate evolution below.

Once Eclipse Hunter is in your inventory, the raid portion is finished. You do not need to farm Act 2 for the evolved form directly.

Eclipse Hunter (Savior) Evolution Requirements in Anime Expeditions

Open the lobby's Upgrade or Evolve area after obtaining the base unit and gather every entry in this checklist:

RequirementAmountHow it fits the route
Hollowed Egg1Reward from the Eclipse Hunter-specific trial, not a Sprite craft
Sprite (Pink)25Crafted from Grey Sprites at the Crafting Station
Sprite (Yellow)25Crafted from Grey Sprites at the Crafting Station
Sprite (Rainbow)1Crafted from Grey Sprites using the current recipe
Gold10,000Currency consumed by the Evolve panel

The checklist has three different kinds of requirements. The Hollowed Egg comes from a trial, the colored Sprites are crafted materials, and Gold is the currency cost. If any one of the five entries is missing, the Evolve panel will not be ready, so check the live panel before you spend your materials.

How to Farm and Craft the Required Sprites

Pink, Yellow, and Rainbow Sprites are made from Grey Sprites at the Crafting Station. Farm Grey Sprites from the content currently marked as a Grey Sprite source in the game's Items or Crafting panels. Available source labels can vary, so do not assume that one older mode list is the only route. The Anime Expeditions Items catalog is useful for checking the named materials, but the in-game recipe is the final check.

Craft 25 Pink Sprites, 25 Yellow Sprites, and 1 Rainbow Sprite, then return to the Evolve panel. Pay particular attention to the Rainbow recipe if the interface has changed since the guide you used to plan your farm.

How to Get the Hollowed Egg in Anime Expeditions

The Hollowed Egg is the unique evolution material you cannot replace with Sprite farming. The route places it in the Eclipse Hunter-specific trial under The Knight Beyond Fate.

Use these steps:

  1. Open the Trials menu.
  2. Find the The Knight Beyond Fate entry tied to Eclipse Hunter, then select Eclipse Hunter's Trial.
  3. Enter the trial and win it.
  4. Claim the Hollowed Egg reward and return to the lobby's Evolve area.

The exact quest or menu label may be renamed in the live interface. If the wording is different, look for the trial specifically associated with Eclipse Hunter and confirm that the reward panel shows a Hollowed Egg. If the live trial panel shows a renamed title or additional on-screen instructions, follow that panel rather than relying on a fixed objective list.

Eclipse Hunter (Savior) Passives and Pairings

Evolving Eclipse Hunter adds a new attack, two additional upgrades, and The King passive. The rest of Savior's kit is built around placing it beside one partner and marking that partner as Selected.

Sacrificial Brand Denier

Place Eclipse Hunter (Savior) next to a non-Yen-farming, non-Farm ally and that ally becomes Selected. If the stage has a Resistance Debuff that matches the Selected unit's Archetype or Element, the resistance is reduced by 10%. The global cap for that reduction is 30%.

That makes the adjacent unit important beyond simple positioning. When a stage's resistance mechanic lines up with the Selected unit's typing, the pairing can help the team deal with that resistance.

Savior

Savior's stat effect depends on the damage relationship between the two linked units:

Selected unit's situationResult
The Selected unit has less damage than Eclipse Hunter (Savior)Eclipse Hunter (Savior) gains 15% damage
The Selected unit has more damage than Eclipse Hunter (Savior)The Selected unit gains 5% Range and 10% AoE Size
The Selected unit is Iron Wolf (Struggler) or Silver FalconThe Selected unit gains 15% Damage, 5% Range, and 10% AoE Size

Iron Wolf (Struggler) and Silver Falcon are the two explicitly named partner units, since they receive the full damage, range, and AoE package. That is a supported pairing interaction, not a claim that either unit is always the best choice for every stage.

The King

The King connects both units' upgrade paths. Every three upgrades to the Selected unit gives Eclipse Hunter (Savior) one free upgrade. Each upgrade to Eclipse Hunter (Savior) also reduces the upgrade cost for all placed Eclipse Hunter (Savior) units by 5%.

Before evolving, use the live Evolve panel to confirm the recipe and labels. Afterward, deploy Savior beside the ally you want to Select, keep that partner out of the Farm category, and let the two upgrade interactions work together. If the only missing item is the Hollowed Egg, complete the Eclipse Hunter trial before spending more time on Sprite crafting.
