East Town (Warrior Saga / Update 1.0) puts two Quest NPCs on the map: Bioinsect and Prodigy. Finish both questlines and you unlock the Secret unit Prodigy. Expect Unit Trials, evolved wave clears, and a long checklist before the reward lands.
If you are still learning banners, stages, and early progression, start with what to do first in Anime Expeditions. East Town also runs Story, Infinite, and Mastery modes, but the Secret path is the NPC questline, not a random map clear.
Find Bioinsect and Prodigy on East Town
Talk to the NPCs during an active stage. They do not show up in sandbox.
- Bioinsect: left of the portal, near the beach
- Prodigy: right of the portal, near the basketball court
Complete Bioinsect first. Perfection's Trial gates Prodigy's questline, so walking to Prodigy early does not save you time.
Finish Perfection's Trial, then Scholar's Trial
Perfection's Trial (Bioinsect)
- Summon Bioinsect from the Mini Banner or Standard Banner.
- Start Bioinsect's Unit Trial from that NPC path.
- Clear Perfection's Trial. Unit Trials hit hard endgame-style stages, so bring a team you already trust.
Perfection's Trial reports Mechanical Wings and 15× Equipment Reroll. Mechanical Wings is equipment and evolution material for Bioinsect (Final Form). When you are ready to promote units, use how to evolve units in Anime Expeditions.
Scholar's Trial (Prodigy)
After Bioinsect is done, talk to Prodigy and open Scholar's Trial. Objective text can shift after hotfixes, so recheck the quest UI if a step looks different from the reported list below.
- Complete East Town one time
- Participate in one Tournament
- Clear a Boss Node on East Town Difficulty 3
- Collect 350 Mechanical Scrap
- Clear 150 Waves with Bioinsect (Final Form)
- Complete Prodigy's Trial
- Evolve one Unit
- Clear 150 Waves with Carrot (Unleashed)
Several steps depend on earlier progress. The 150-wave Bioinsect step needs Bioinsect (Final Form) (summon Bioinsect, then evolve; Wings help that path). The other 150-wave step needs Carrot (Unleashed) (summon Carrot Mythic, then evolve). Prodigy's Trial is its own Unit Trial after the earlier objectives. Mechanical Scrap is a collect goal of 350: track the counter in the quest UI while you play East Town content rather than hunting a fixed farm route.
Finish Scholar's Trial and you get Secret Prodigy. Evolve Prodigy later into Prodigy (Rage). Completing Prodigy's unit-quest path can also yield materials such as a Rage Catalyst for that line. Base Prodigy is the free quest reward; Rage is the evolved form, not a second free drop from the same checklist.
Secret Prodigy is a strong collector and endgame chase reward. You do not need it for the rest of Warrior Saga, but it is one of the cleanest free Secrets Update 1 puts on the board.
