99 Nights in the Forest Elemental Class Guide: Cost, Perks, and Level Requirements

Updated on September 7, 2026 (2 days ago)

Elemental is a four-star class added to 99 Nights in the Forest with the New Classes update on September 5, 2026. It costs 400 Diamonds and is built around the biome you choose for a run: you start with that biome's helmet, then unlock a chance to apply a biome effect on hit, faster sprinting, and better night vision.

That makes Elemental a focused choice for players who regularly explore the Snow, Volcanic, or Jungle biomes. This guide covers where to buy it, what each level does, how to complete the class-card counters, and how to tell the separate Elemental's Quest badge apart from class progression.

How to Get the Elemental Class in 99 Nights in the Forest

Open the class shop from the lobby's General Store or the on-screen Classes button. The shop uses rotating stock, so Elemental may not be listed every time you check. When it appears, you need 400 Diamonds to purchase it.

Follow these steps:

  1. Return to the lobby and open the Classes menu. Use the General Store, then select Classes, or use the lobby's Classes button.
  2. Find Elemental when it is in stock. It is a four-star class with a 400-Diamond price.
  3. Buy and equip the class. Select Elemental from the class screen before starting a run.

Buying Elemental unlocks the class. The later perks use gameplay counters rather than another Diamond payment, so you can begin working toward them as soon as you equip it.

99 Nights in the Forest Elemental Perks and Level Requirements

Elemental has three levels. Level 1 comes from the purchase, while Levels 2 and 3 use biome chest and enemy counters. The Elemental class card lists the following thresholds:

LevelRequirementPerk
Level 1Buy Elemental for 400 DiamondsStart with the helmet from the biome chosen for the run
Level 2Open 20 biome chests and defeat 80 enemies within a biomeA random chance to apply a biome effect on hit, with the chance increased when you are in a biome
Level 3Open 50 biome chests and defeat 200 enemies within a biomeSprint faster and see better at night while in biomes

Use the Elemental class panel as your progress check while you play. It shows whether the chest and enemy activity is being counted; the requirements identify biome chests and enemies but do not name every qualifying target, so verify the counter before changing your route. The perk text only promises a biome effect, so do not assume Snow, Volcanic, or Jungle map directly to ice, fire, or poison.

How to Level Up Elemental in 99 Nights in the Forest

Your work happens during the run, and the Elemental class panel is where you confirm the result. This route does not send you to another NPC: focus on the two counters tied to the qualifying biome, then check the panel after the run before planning your next target.

  1. Equip Elemental before the run. Start the run with the class active so its progression requirements can be tracked.
  2. Choose a supported biome. When the run presents the biome choice, select Snow, Volcanic, or Jungle to activate the Level 1 starter-helmet perk.
  3. Open biome chests and defeat enemies while in a biome. Work toward both counters instead of focusing on only chests or only combat. The Level 2 class card lists 20 biome chests and 80 enemies; the Level 3 card lists 50 biome chests and 200 enemies.
  4. Check the Elemental class panel after the run. When a displayed threshold is full, confirm that the matching perk is unlocked before starting another route. If a counter does not move, stay in a qualifying biome and use the panel to check whether the chest or enemy is being recognized; the requirements do not name every qualifying type.

The important distinction is that the action and the location are linked. Opening a chest or defeating an enemy outside the qualifying biome should not be treated as progress just because the general activity is the same.

How to Earn 400 Diamonds for Elemental

Elemental's 400-Diamond price is the purchase cost, so you can combine several regular Diamond sources to reach it:

  • Daily Quests: Complete the tasks shown on the daily quest board.
  • Exploration and chests: Explore the map, open chests, and use stronghold routes as part of normal progression.
  • Admin Abuse events, badges, and survival milestones: Join available Admin Abuse events and claim Diamond rewards from badges or survival milestones as you reach their requirements.
  • Codes: Redeem codes through the game's code interface. Since code names change, use the 99 Nights in the Forest codes page for the codes themselves instead of relying on a hardcoded list here.

These are supporting routes rather than a promise of one fastest farming method. The useful checkpoint is simply having 400 Diamonds ready when Elemental appears in the rotating class shop.

Is Elemental Worth 400 Diamonds in 99 Nights in the Forest?

Elemental is a sensible fit if your normal runs already take you through selectable biomes and you value conditional movement, visibility, and biome effects. Its progression has a clear path from a biome-specific starter helmet at Level 1 to an on-hit effect chance at Level 2, then faster sprinting and better night vision in biomes at Level 3.

Plan around the helmet as the documented starting tool when you choose a biome. The class details do not promise a conventional weapon starter, so if you want an immediate weapon-specific role or rarely enter the supported biomes, keeping the 400 Diamonds for another class may fit your runs better.

What Is the Elemental's Quest Badge?

Elemental's Quest is separate from the class levels. The badge objective is to apply poison, ice, or fire effects to 50 different enemies, and the badge awards 6 Diamonds. Its poison, ice, and fire objective is separate from the Elemental class panel, which tracks the chest-and-enemy requirements for Levels 2 and 3, so completing the badge objective does not replace either class counter.

If Elemental is in stock and your next runs include Snow, Volcanic, or Jungle, the 400-Diamond purchase is easiest to justify when you plan to use those biome-focused perks. Otherwise, wait for a class whose documented starting kit matches the way you play.
