All 63 Towers in Tower Defense Simulator

Updated on (about 9 hours ago)

Towers decide how your loadout handles damage, support, economy, detection, and map space. Some begin free, some use Coins or Gems, and others depend on levels, evolution routes, challenges, or event access, so compare the unlock path with the job before you spend.

Choose a role before a tower

DPS towers handle direct damage, while support and economy towers help with buffs, slowing, income, or extra pressure. A loadout with reliable damage can still need a support or economy slot when the map demands more range, control, or money.

Use the role and special mechanic together. Ricochets, chain attacks, freeze, poison, melee hits, auras, and deployed units solve different problems, so the tower with the biggest base damage is not always the best fit for the space you have.

Plan around the unlock route

Coin-store towers use Coins, while Hardcore towers use Gems and an account Level 50 gate. Other towers add account-level requirements, challenge or map triumphs, or an evolution route from a named tower. Check the unlock text before building a loadout around a tower you have not earned.

Evolved towers turn earlier progress into a new choice. Follow the evolvesFrom tower, meet the listed evolution level, then weigh the Coin and Gem cost against the role you want. Kingpin, for example, offers Top and Bottom paths that lean toward economy or combat, so the route matters as much as the name.

Event-exclusive access is its own category. It can describe a limited or retired route, and it is not the same as a regular Coin-store unlock. Keep those towers in your planning as access-limited options rather than assuming they can be bought like a starter or shop tower.

Check detection and placement

Detection tags tell you whether a tower can target Hidden, Flying, or Lead enemies. Match those tags to the threats you expect, because a strong attack cannot help if the tower cannot see its target.

Placement rules shape the map plan. Sniper and Mortar are cliff-only, and placement limits make some towers better as a focused investment than as a wide spread of copies. Look at range and placement before spending on an upgrade, especially on maps with few useful spots.

Spend upgrades with a plan

Base damage, range, and cooldown show a tower's starting attack profile. A lower cooldown means a faster firing cycle, while range and special mechanics can matter more than one large damage value when enemies arrive in groups or from awkward angles.

Use the upgrade cap to see how far the listed tower route goes, then compare the cost of another placement with the next upgrade. A tower with a small placement limit may reward careful upgrades, while a tower with a larger limit may help you cover more path space.

Keep summoned units tied to their parent tower when planning a loadout. Skeletons, sentries, elves, vans, and mercenaries are part of the tower mechanic, not separate tower slots.

A practical loadout covers early damage, detection gaps, useful range or cliff positions, and at least one support or economy job when the map calls for it. The right mix depends on the map, enemy types, and access you have, so use the tower fields to fill a gap instead of stacking the same job by habit.

Event-exclusive access is limited access, not a regular shop unlock. These towers cover damage, support, control, economy, and summoned-unit mechanics, so treat the access label and the tower role as separate decisions.

Hardcore access uses Gems with an account-level gate, while evolved towers grow from a named tower at the listed evolution level. Compare the required route with the final role, especially when an evolution offers separate economy or combat paths.

FAQ

Q.

What should I check before choosing a tower?

Start with its role, detection, placement rules, and placement limit. Then compare base cost, damage, range, cooldown, and upgrade cap with the map and the rest of your loadout.

Q.

How do I unlock towers in Tower Defense Simulator?

Unlock text can point to free starter access, the Coin store, an account level, Gems, a challenge or map triumph, or an evolution route. Event-exclusive access is separate from a regular Coin-store unlock.

Q.

What does detection mean for a tower?

Detection lists enemy types a tower can target, such as Hidden, Flying, or Lead. Match those tags to the threats a map or mode can send before using a loadout slot.

Q.

How do evolved towers work?

Start with the tower named in evolvesFrom, meet the listed evolution level, and follow any Coin and Gem route shown in the unlock details. The base tower is part of the plan, not an unrelated purchase.

Q.

Why are some towers event-exclusive?

Their access is tied to an event or limited route, so event-exclusive does not mean regular shop inventory. They can still fill damage, support, control, or economy roles when they fit your loadout.

Q.

What do base stats tell me?

Base damage, range, and cooldown describe the starting attack profile. Use the upgrade cap and special mechanic to judge how a tower develops, and do not treat one large base number as the whole match story.
