Location: Basement haystack
Action: Clear hay and sell it when your bag fills. Keep searching until you find the key.
Requirement: You can search for the key before or after completing the puzzles.
Result: The key lets you unlock the trapdoor after the laser barrier is off.

Action: Follow the green cable and click its lever.
Requirement: You must pull all three colored-wire levers to open the puzzle-room route.

Action: Follow the red cable and click its lever.

#5Crystal Puzzle

Location: Left side of the hidden puzzle room
Action: Count each crystal color on the walls and ceiling. Click each matching pedestal counter until it equals that color's total.
Requirement: Open the hidden puzzle room by pulling all three levers. Crystal totals change between runs.
Result: Correct pedestal totals complete one of the three puzzles.

#6Picture Puzzle

Location: Right side of the hidden puzzle-room entrance
Action: Click each tile to rotate it. Match all parts of the large image to the smaller picture beside it.
Requirement: Open the hidden puzzle room by pulling all three levers. Use the reference beside your board.
Result: Matching the reference image completes one of the three puzzles.

#7Paper-code Keypad

Location: Keypad across from the picture board, with papers on the puzzle-room floor
Action: Inspect the loose papers until one shows four digits. Enter those digits in their printed order at the keypad.
Requirement: Open the hidden puzzle room by pulling all three levers. The keypad code changes between runs.
Result: The correct code completes one of the three puzzles.

Escape the Basement

#8Trapdoor Escape

Location: Ladder leading to the Basement trapdoor
Action: Equip the Basement Key, climb the ladder and use the key to open the trapdoor.
Requirement: Find the key and finish all three puzzles so the lasers no longer block the exit.
Result: Leaving through the trapdoor completes the Basement escape.

Plan your Basement run

You don't need to find the key before you work on the levers or enter the puzzle room. If the hay search is taking a while, you can tackle those tasks and return for the key afterward.

Treat the key and the laser barrier as separate exit requirements. Finding the key does not switch off the lasers, and solving the room does not replace the key. Before you head for the ladder, check that both are ready.

Use your room's answers

A crystal total or keypad code from another run can send you in the wrong direction. Take the crystal counts and paper code from the room you are actually in, even if a screenshot looks familiar.

The picture puzzle works differently. Its small reference is the target, and the large tiles rotate in place. Compare the image after each turn instead of trying to move a tile to another slot.

Should I stop searching when my bag fills?

Sell the hay to make room, then keep searching. A full bag does not mean you have found the Basement Key.

When should I reset my checked goals?

Checked goals record the Basement run you choose to track. Reset them when you start another run, then check each goal as you finish it. The checklist does not automatically read your Roblox progress.
