A title is a one-slot nameplate in Lineage Piece. It sits next to your race, trait, and outfit, and it will not swing the sword for you. Earn one from a level, a Tower rank, or a named boss, then wear it for farm bonuses or for one spec's extra damage.

Wear farm, then swap to fight
You only get one title on at a time, so pick the job, not the cooler name. When you are grinding coins, gems, EXP, or luck, wear the best utility title you already unlocked. Veteran is the last level title. After that, bigger farm bonuses only come from Tower ranks, and those vanish if you fall off the board.
Top 100 Tower is luck only. Keep it for drop farms. If you still need coins and EXP, stay on Veteran until you actually sit in the top 10.
Match the name to the spec
An offense title only helps the spec it names. King of Knights will not make Gojo hit harder. Curse King will not help Sukuna Shinjuku.

The Honored One is also a trait. The trait rolls percents on your character. The title is a separate equip and does not hand you those percents.
Farm the title before the desk
Gilgamesh will not sell unless King of Heroes is already in your pocket. Several later mastery desks also want their matching title equipped before the rest of the quest counts.
Do not treat every offense title like the same farm. Substitute Shinigami is not a Hollow kill-count unlock. Upper Moon One has no printed drop chance, so farm Kokushibo at Legend's Arena without a schedule. On Glamoth Planet, hunt the main Firefly boss for The Molten Knight and treat the other enemy in that raid as a lucky extra.
