Every pet leans into one of three jobs. Luck pets raise your odds at rarer fish. Reel-speed pets shorten the pull so you cast more often. Higher tiers often mix luck with auto-catch, a timed free catch that fires on its own with a short recharge after.
If you already stack luck on rods or bobbers, a reel-speed companion can feel better than another luck stack. If you are hunting secrets and rare fish, pure luck Epics like Frog or Tiger punch hard without auto-catch. Once you hit Legendary and above, the auto-catch loop is the real step up over the luck number alone.
How you actually get them
Clara runs the Pet Stores on Fisherman Island and next to the Sheriff's Office in Copper Canyon. Finish her Helping Hand quest (Salmon and Pet Collars) for the free Tabby Cat and unlock the Pets slot early. Robux eggs come in packs at those shops, with published pack prices around 109 / 327 / 545 Robux for 1 / 3 / 5 eggs.
Shop eggs rotate. Founders, Arctic, and Kawaii are origin lines for specific pets, not a promise that every egg stays on the shelf forever. Pets you already hatched keep their buffs. Kawaii versions of Legendary and Mythic pets tend to recharge faster than their Founders or Arctic twins. Kitsune sits at the top of published hatch-pet luck and auto-catch speed. Common mistakes
Do not treat a missing hatch percentage as a free roll. Arctic Egg pets leave chance blank because published rates do not cleanly sum, not because the hatch is guaranteed.
