Anime Origins is an anime tower defense from the Origins Project group: summon units inspired by famous anime characters, place them along the enemy path, and upgrade them mid-match while waves of enemies press toward your base. Runs pay out the currencies and materials that fund the next round of summons.

The unit roster is the heart of the game. Units span Epic through Secret rarities with placement types, elements, and yen placement costs, and the strongest names are built rather than pulled: base Secrets like Modora and Valcrad evolve through Mokito in the Evolve room into their signature forms using materials farmed from Legend Stages, Rifts, and raids. Traits add a reroll layer on top, turning a good unit into a personal one.

Progression splits across Story, Infinite, and Raid modes, each feeding a different part of the upgrade loop. Between banner luck, drop grinding, evolution recipes, and trait rerolls, every strong team is a plan executed over many runs rather than a single lucky pull.

Traits:

Traits are extra bonuses you roll onto units in Anime Origins with Trait Rerolls at the Trait Reroll station in the Evolve building. Each unit stores two traits and can run only one at a time, so you switch a loadout instead of stacking both. Immortal is 1 per team with a placement limit of 1, and Mythic rolls like Overseer, Rupture, Decay, and Hustler change a unit's job. Rare and Epic lines are simple damage, cooldown, or range steps you grow out of as better rolls land.

Units:

Units are the towers you summon and place in Anime Origins. Most come from the banner, then you spend Yen to drop them as Ground, Hill, Farm, or Support. Secrets and some Mythics sit in Legend Stages, Rifts, raids, the War Boss shop, Infinite Mansion, or the Battle Pass, and named forms evolve at Mokito with remnants. The roster you keep is that mix of jobs, because a strong Ground carry still leaks flyers without a Hill.

Anime Origins Gameplay Tips

  • Build a farm unit early in every match. Yen income decides how fast the rest of your team comes online, and one dedicated farmer pays for itself by mid-stage.
  • Check placement types before you summon. Ground and Hill units want different spots, and a Hill map with a Ground-only team wastes damage.
  • Feed duplicate units as material instead of hoarding them. Leveling your main carry beats owning five copies of it.
  • Treat evolutions as the real endgame pulls. Evolved forms like Madaro (Edo Tensei) and Valcrad (Unleashed) are different units with stronger kits, built through Mokito in the Evolve room.
  • Reroll traits on your carry once your team is stable. A good trait on one strong unit outperforms average traits spread everywhere.
  • Run Legend Stages and Rifts on repeat for Secret drops; banners are the luck path, drops are the grind path.
  • Match elements to the stage where you can. Elemental advantage is a free damage multiplier the game hands you for reading the lobby screen.
