Luna Bloom is a Divine, multi-harvest crop from Harvest Moon Part 2 (Update 1.62.0, August 8, 2026). The seed is a rare 0.5% roll from the Moon Chest family.
It is not Moon Bloom from Grow a Garden 2, and it is not the older Moon Blossom crop. Same moon branding, different plant.
Your real work is the owl loop: match its craving trait, hit 500 points, open Moon Chests, and keep rolling. There is no free shop buy path for this seed.
Feed the Harvest Moon Owl until you get a Moon Chest
Most free Moon Chests come from the Harvest Moon Owl. Official patch notes call that feeding NPC Wise Owl, which is easy to mix up because Wise Owl is also a 0.5% pet from the same chests. You feed the event owl to farm chests. You do not need the pet first.
- Check the owl's current craving trait. It wants one plant type at a time. That trait rotates about every hour.
- Harvest plants that match that trait. Only matching plants fill the bar.
- Feed the owl until you hit 500 points. That grants 1 Moon Chest.
- Wait out the cooldown. The owl needs about 5 minutes before it will fill another bar. You can skip that wait for 49 Robux if you want more opens fast.
Traits it can ask for include Berry, Fruit, Flower, Vegetable, Sweet, Tropical, Prickly, Woody, Leafy, and Stalky. Keep a few of each type ready so an hourly trait swap does not stall you mid-bar.
Feeding also has about a 50% chance to apply a Moonbeam mutation to a fruit in your garden. Nice side roll while you grind chests.

Open chests for the 0.5% Luna Bloom seed
Luna Bloom Seed drops at 0.5% from Moon Chest, Exotic Moon Chest, and Rainbow Exotic Moon Chest. All three share that same rate. The free, repeatable path is the owl Moon Chest loop above.
Most opens land common rewards instead. Crescent Petal Seed and Moon Snail show up often. Luna Bloom Seed and the Wise Owl pet share the rarest 0.5% slot. Plan for many opens; a 0.5% seed is not a one-chest freebie.
When it lands, you get a long-setup multi-harvest earner. Average fruit value is about 120,000 Sheckles (price floor 108,300). Average weight sits near 5 kg, with a min around 3.50 kg. The plant takes about 7 hours 41 minutes to grow, then fruit regrows in about 56 minutes 30 seconds. Huge chance is 0.29% (1 in 350).
