UFO Invasion is a short event centered on the central PIT in Grow a Chicken Fighter. A chicken caught by the UFO's green beam can return with better Genes or stats, plus a chance to move up one rarity. The event uses the PIT, not a separate wave or boss fight.
The active window is around three minutes, but the exact timing can vary. Use the live banner and countdown in your server as the final word.
Send your strongest chicken into the UFO beam

Look for the UFO Invasion banner and head to the central PIT. Deploy your strongest practical chicken there, then keep it beneath the green beam so it can be selected. A chicken sitting in the coop is not eligible.
Use the live countdown instead of waiting for a promised schedule. The event window is brief, so send your best available fighter first. If eggs or Alien Scrap appear around the event, collect them while you are in the PIT.
Check the chicken after the beam returns it
The UFO returns an abducted chicken to its owner's coop after a short interval. Check the returned bird before sending it back into a fight: it can have improved Genes or stats, while a rarity increase is only a chance. A successful result can be useful even when the rarity stays the same.
A returned chicken may also show a temporary Curse, poisoned state, or reduced level. The exact label, duration, and penalty are not settled, so treat the live result screen as the authority and do not assume the effect is permanent.
The table below is a reported community snapshot, not an official or permanent odds table. Each percentage describes the reported chance of moving from the current rarity to the next one.
| Current rarity | Reported chance | Possible next rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 25% | Uncommon |
| Uncommon | 18% | Rare |
| Rare | 12% | Epic |
| Epic | 8% | Legendary |
| Legendary | 5% | Mythic |
| Mythic | 3% | Divine |
| Divine | 2% | Celestial |
| Celestial | 1% | Cosmic |
| Cosmic | 0.5% | Secret |
Secret is reported as the highest rarity in this ascension system, but the table can change with the live game. Do not read the percentages as a guarantee, and do not expect every abduction to raise rarity.
Treat timing and upgrades as live-game details
A higher Recycler level is associated with more Genes from UFO Invasion, but the game does not provide an exact amount or multiplier to plan around. Invest in your Recycler if it helps your wider progression, then judge the result by the Genes and stats shown when the chicken comes home.
After one successful ascension on a chicken during the event, leave that chicken in the coop for the rest of the window unless your live result clearly shows a different rule. Do not plan around an exact total abduction count.
The UFO upgrade is separate from permanent mutations. If your fighter needs a stronger base before you risk it in the PIT, the Grow a Chicken Fighter fusion guide covers the fusion path. For the permanent mutation system, use the Grow a Chicken Fighter Inverted Mutation guide instead.
UFO Invasion questions
Where do I send my chicken during UFO Invasion?
Send it to the central PIT and keep it under the UFO's green beam.
Can a chicken in the coop be abducted?
No. The chicken must be deployed in the central PIT to be eligible.
Is a rarity upgrade guaranteed?
No. An abduction can improve Genes or stats without moving the chicken to the next rarity.
Why did my chicken return with a lower level?
A returned chicken may show a temporary Curse, poison, or reduced-level effect. The exact duration and penalty are not confirmed, so check the live result before judging the outcome.
