To get Inverted Mutation in Grow a Chicken Fighter, you have two reported routes: hatch eggs for a reported 0.5% chance per egg, or try Fuse with a chicken that already has Inverted Mutation. Treat the fusion route carefully. Check the live Fuse preview before confirming. The reported donor route is not a blanket guarantee for every fusion.

Hatch eggs for the 0.5% chance
The lead report for Inverted Mutation lists a 0.5% chance per egg. That is a reported per-egg figure, not a promise that a fixed number of hatches will produce the mutation.
Hatch eggs through your normal progression and use whichever egg fits your resources. No egg type is named here, and no pity system, timer, or guaranteed attempt count is established. Let your available resources set the pace.
Use an Inverted chicken in Fuse
The same lead report says that fusing a chicken with another Inverted chicken can transfer the mutation. It does not establish that every donor works, which slot controls the result, or how Inverted interacts with another mutation.
Use the current Fuse screen as your final check:
- Select the base chicken and donor shown by the live Fuse interface. Do not assume the donor order from another recipe.
- Inspect the displayed mutations, traits, and any available lock or protection controls.
- Review the current cost and result preview before spending anything.
- Confirm only if the preview shows the Inverted result you expect. If it does not, back out and keep the donor.
The 404 x Ash fusion guide shows another base-and-donor example for the same Fuse system. If the fusion changes your progression plan, the Grow a Chicken Fighter rebirth guide explains the broader reset loop.
Do not spend a rare Inverted chicken on a preview that leaves the mutation unclear. A Fuse button is patient. Your donor may not be.
