404 Chick is one of Grow a Chicken Fighter's strongest Secret fighters. The body scales hard in the pit and PvP, but the native Special is not what carries the meta. The upgrade is Cycle of Ash: it heals over a short window and hits with burst damage while active.
You put that skill on 404 by fusing 404 Chick with Radiant Fenghuang, then locking Radiant Fenghuang's skill so Cycle of Ash sticks on the result. Farm both through the egg chains below, or roll Blazing Eggs when the Hot Event or live codes drop one. Hatch rates below are community-reported and can shift after patches.

Get the 404 Chick from Cursed Eggs
404 Chick is a Secret hatch. Community tables put it under 1% from Cursed Eggs, and about 8% from Blazing Eggs. After you hatch one, it lays Cursed Eggs at 100%.
Build a Cursed Egg engine first:
- Start from Classic Rooster and work Nest Eggs until you land Cosmo Brat, which lays Scratch Eggs at 100%.
- Hatch Scratch Eggs for NPC Chick (about 12%). NPC Chick lays Cursed Eggs at about 80%.
- Hatch Cursed Eggs for Stone Face (about 19%). Stone Face lays Cursed Eggs at 100%, and a leveled Stone Face can approach about one egg per minute.
- Fuse Stone Face when you can to speed lays, then mass-hatch Cursed Eggs for Secret 404.
- If 404 appears before Stone Face, stop chasing Stone Face and use 404's own 100% Cursed lay instead.
Blazing Eggs are the luck shortcut. Hold the Blazing Egg through the central pit Hot Event (about six minutes) when it is live, or redeem free eggs from Grow a Chicken Fighter codes while Blazing rewards appear. The Blazing pool uses that higher community 404 rate of about 8%.
Get Radiant Fenghuang from Royal Eggs
Radiant Fenghuang is a Celestial you keep as a skill donor, not a long-term main body. Community lists put it at about 1% from Royal Eggs and 2% from Blazing Eggs. It lays Royal Eggs at 100%.
Farm Royal Eggs like this:
- Use Cosmo Brat Scratch Eggs again (same early layer as the 404 chain).
- Hatch Crest Rooster from Scratch (about 5%; also appears in the Thunder pool). Crest Rooster lays Royal Eggs at about 60%.
- Hatch Rooster of Fortune from Royal Eggs (about 15% Rare). It lays Royal Eggs at 100%.
- Fuse Rooster of Fortune for faster laying, then mass-hatch Royal Eggs until Radiant Fenghuang drops.
Skip heavy levels on Radiant as a fighter. You want Cycle of Ash off it, then the body has done its job.
Fuse and lock Cycle of Ash
With both chickens ready:
- Open Fuse and put 404 Chick with Radiant Fenghuang.
- Lock only the skill field on Radiant Fenghuang so Cycle of Ash is selected. Leave other locks alone unless you know you need them.
- Read the preview and cost before you confirm. Cash and lock options can change after updates.
- Confirm only when the preview still shows Cycle of Ash on the result.
In a fight, Cycle of Ash restores HP for a few seconds and deals strong burst damage while it is up. That is the Special you are protecting with the lock.
Never burn Radiant on a random fuse without locking the skill first. A wrong confirm can leave you with a strong 404 body and the wrong Special, which is a painful way to learn the menu.
