Evomon Season 2 Tier List – PvP & PvE Meta

Updated on August 22, 2026 (about 1 hour ago)

Cyanknight, Arcapex, Sundercrene, Mirefish, Clanxor, Volcrest, Lavarock, Frostseer, and Pummash make up the S tier for broad Season 2 investment. They cover speed, damage, recovery, defense, weather, and priority better than most of the roster.

This is one overall 41-entry ranking for Season 2 combat investment across PvP, PvE, bosses, raids, and progression. PvP and PvE notes explain when a creature becomes a better fit, but they are not separate invented rankings. Season 2 opened on August 20, 2026, and these placements reflect the August 21 snapshot.

The ranking weighs element and matchup value, raw damage, speed and initiative, special skills, and team role. Season 2 weather, status and energy changes, and sustain nerfs are part of the read. The letters are an editorial recommendation, not an official developer power score, so a matchup can matter more than the letter beside a name.

The Season 2 Evomon tier list at a glance

TierCountQuick read
S9Best broad investments for damage, tempo, sustain, defense, or team coverage
A21Strong carries and role players that can outperform S picks in the right matchup
B8Useful specialists, starters, and counter picks with clearer limits
C3Story or matchup filler that is usually replaced when stronger options arrive

Treat the table below as the full ranking. Keep Tarragon as the ranked name even though a legacy asset filename and older records use Terragon. The same spelling issue appears with Chitaladin and Chitaldin, plus Bubblade and Bubblader. These are aliases, not extra entries.

Lavarock Evomon sprite for the Season 2 S tier LavarockFire/RockBosses and burn teamsStrong bulk and better Season 2 Volcanic Burn pressureIts bulk does not make every bad matchup safe
Frostseer Evomon sprite for the Season 2 S tier FrostseerIceAoE and SnowIce area damage and stronger Snow and Frostbite pressure help clear groupsIce teams still need answers to their bad matchups
Pummash Evomon sprite for the Season 2 S tier PummashFightingPriority cleanupHigh Attack and priority cleanup work in story fights, bosses, and ranked PvPNeeds help when Fighting coverage is a poor fit

S tier is the safest place to spend scarce evolution materials, traits, equipment, and team slots. Cyanknight and Volcrest lead fast PvP plans, while Sundercrene gives both priority and recovery.

Mirefish and Clanxor are the steadier choices for long fights. Lavarock and Frostseer reward weather teams, while Pummash is the simple answer when you want a hard-hitting priority finisher.

Blazmane Evomon sprite for the Season 2 A tier BlazmaneFireEvolved starterA strong evolved Fire starter remains useful after the early gameA starter slot can be replaced by a more focused endgame pick
Fluffastar Evomon sprite for the Season 2 A tier FluffastarRockSpecial damage and SandstormSpecial damage, Sandstorm, and area tools give it flexible PvE valueSlower plans can struggle in fast PvP
Spikumane Evomon sprite for the Season 2 A tier SpikumaneGroundWave clear and Electric counterGround wave clear gives it a clear farming and matchup jobLess flexible outside those matchups
Starmuse Evomon sprite for the Season 2 A tier StarmusePsychicSpecial controlHigh Special Attack and Psychic control make it threatening when protectedIts slow speed is the tax
Viparch Evomon sprite for the Season 2 A tier ViparchPoisonFast physical pressureSpeed and Poison pressure let it punish slower teamsIt is easier to answer when Poison is not the right damage type

A tier is the working shelf for most teams. Frostelle, Wisphex, Celesthorn, and Clipexor can matter more in PvP than their overall letter suggests because control and matchup pressure decide turns quickly.

Ignifist belongs in the Volcanic Burn conversation, but keep its A placement provisional until public stats and skills are clearer. Frostclaw is also a role pick: Snow and debuffs are valuable even when its 4x Fire weakness makes blind use risky.

The rest of A gives you flexible attackers, answers to Electric or Psychic teams, and strong starter or progression choices. Do not bench a good A-tier counter just because an S-tier creature looks nicer on paper.

B Tier

EvomonElementBest useWhy it ranks hereWatch for

Glacitadel Evomon sprite for the Season 2 B tier GlacitadelIceSnow damageStronger Ice damage and Snow value keep it useful in the right teamLess complete than the A and S Ice options
Gempress Evomon sprite for the Season 2 B tier GempressBugBug, Psychic, and Dark damageIt fills a valid damage role across several matchupsHigher Ultimate cost slows its plan
Pebgolem Evomon sprite for the Season 2 B tier PebgolemRockCounter wallBulky Rock traits make it a useful counter-style wallVery slow and easy to out-tempo
Tinkore Evomon sprite for the Season 2 B tier TinkoreSteelDefensive specialistStrong Steel bulk works when the team needs a specialistClanxor covers the anchor job more completely
Silvanarch Evomon sprite for the Season 2 B tier SilvanarchGrassAccessible pivotA practical Grass pivot helps early teams rotate safelySeason 2 sustain changes cut into its value
Clamspire Evomon sprite for the Season 2 B tier ClamspireWaterReactive tankWater defense and Rain utility help teams that want to play patientlySlow and outclassed for direct Water investment

B tier is not a warning to delete anything. These creatures are useful when their element, cost, or role solves a real team problem. Leafblade, Silvanarch, and Clamspire are especially reasonable bridges while your endgame roster grows.

Move B-tier investment down the priority list when you already own an S or A answer to the same job. Pebgolem and Tinkore are the clearest specialist holds, while Glacitadel and Thordlord need a plan that protects their slower pace.

C Tier

EvomonElementBest useWhy it ranks hereWatch for
Mopillow Evomon sprite for the Season 2 C tier MopillowNormalStory fillerNeutral damage can carry simple story fights before stronger options arriveIt lacks strong super-effective pressure
Twirlby Evomon sprite for the Season 2 C tier TwirlbyBug/FlyingEarly Bug pressureAccessible Bug and Flying coverage can help at the startToo many exploitable weaknesses for late investment
Chirphantom Evomon sprite for the Season 2 C tier ChirphantomFlyingStory and specific matchupsFlying coverage gives it a few useful jobsClearly outclassed by Sundercrene and Volcrest

C-tier Evomon can still finish story content. They simply do not return enough long-term combat value for most players to spend rare materials on them. Keep one for a missing matchup, then move on when a stronger option fills the same slot.

Build your team around the mode and matchup

For PvP Control and Tempo, the strongest example core is Cyanknight, Sundercrene, Frostelle, Wisphex, and Celesthorn. It leans on speed, disruption, priority, and control instead of trying to win every turn with raw damage.

For PvE and bosses, try the Snowball shape of Frostclaw, Frostseer, Mirefish, Clanxor, and Lavarock. Frostclaw and Frostseer add Snow pressure, Mirefish keeps the group stable, and Clanxor buys time for the damage pieces.

For Volcanic Burn, build around Ignifist, Lavarock, Empixy, Volcrest, and Mirefish. The plan uses Fire and weather pressure while Mirefish supplies the sustain that keeps the burn engine running. Ignifist remains provisional, so do not spend your entire resource pile on that core until its public details settle.

A lower overall tier can still be the correct pick when it answers the enemy team. Spikumane can be more useful than an S-tier creature into Electric enemies, and Chitaladin can earn its slot against Grass, Psychic, or Dark targets. Team coverage beats letter worship.

Use the Evomon monster collection for the wider element, evolution, and stat reference. Before committing rare materials, learn how Ascension works in Evomon so you know what a long-term level-cap plan asks of a creature. For boss runs, see how Raid Mode works in Evomon, then use the Evomon Guilds system when shared rewards and Assist Evomon become part of your team plan.

Season 2 is still young. Recheck these placements after major balance changes, especially for Celesthorn, Ignifist, Snow teams, and sustain-heavy builds.

FAQ

Q.

Which Evomon is best overall in Season 2?

The nine S-tier Evomon are the strongest broad investments. Cyanknight, Sundercrene, Mirefish, and Lavarock are especially useful starting points, but the best choice still depends on your team's missing role and matchups.

Q.

Which Evomon are best for PvP?

The Control and Tempo core uses Cyanknight, Sundercrene, Frostelle, Wisphex, and Celesthorn for speed, disruption, priority, and control. Celesthorn's A placement is still provisional because Season 2 is new.

Q.

Which Evomon are best for PvE and bosses?

Frostclaw, Frostseer, Mirefish, Clanxor, and Lavarock form the recommended Snowball core. Ignifist, Lavarock, Empixy, Volcrest, and Mirefish are the Volcanic Burn option.

Q.

Are the new Season 2 Evomon worth building?

Some are. Frostclaw has useful Snow and debuff value, Celesthorn brings fast Psychic control, and Ignifist fits Fire weather teams. Celesthorn and Ignifist are provisional placements, so build them when their role matches your team rather than chasing them blindly.
