Moons are the planets your ship flies to in Lethal Company, and they're where nearly all the action happens. You work for a company that buys scrap, so you travel to a moon, search its buildings for loot, and carry back as much as you can. Each moon has its own terrain, monsters, and risk, and the Company Building is the only place where you sell what you collect.

How Moon Travel Works
You pick a moon from the ship's terminal, and the ship flies you there. Free moons cost nothing to reach, but paid moons take credits each time you route to one. Once you've paid for a moon, staying on it doesn't charge you again, so it pays to settle in for a while rather than hop between moons. The same credits also buy gear from the terminal, so every trip is money you could have spent on supplies.
Free Moons and Paid Moons
Experimentation, Assurance, Vow, Offense, Adamance, and March are the free moons. Embrion, Rend, Dine, Titan, and Artifice cost credits to reach, from 150 for Embrion up to 1,500 for Artifice. The most dangerous moons are all in the paid group, so the free moons are a safer way to build up credits before you try a paid one. Experimentation is the default moon when you load a new save, which makes it a good place to learn the ropes.
The Company Building and Selling Scrap
The Company Building, also known as 71-Gordion, is where you sell scrap to The Company. Visiting it doesn't use up a day, and since no enemies spawn there, it's rated Safe. Selling here is how your haul turns into credits, and those credits pay for routes and gear.
Hazard Levels and the Hardest Moons
Every moon has a hazard rating that tells you how risky it is to explore. Rend is rated A, Dine and Embrion are rated S, Titan is S+, and Artifice is S++, the highest of any moon. Rend and Dine are snowy moons with interiors that are usually mansions, and their blizzards cut down how far you can see. Titan has the largest interior in the game. Weather is picked at random each day and only affects the outdoors.
How to Find the Hidden Moons
Embrion and Artifice don't appear in the terminal's list, so you can't pick them from the usual menu. Artifice's name is hinted at on Adamance. The cabin there is locked, so you need a Key or a Lockpicker to get in. Once you open the cabin, you'll find "68-ART" written on the wall, which is the clue to the moon's name. Type "68 art" or "Artifice" into the terminal, and you can route there whenever you like. Embrion is also left off the list. Its name appears in the Old Bird's Bestiary entry, so scan an Old Bird first, then type the name into the terminal.
FAQ
Is Embrion worth the 150-credit fee?
Usually not. The moon is crowded with Old Birds and its scrap is mostly low value, so it's better to go in with a clear purpose than to expect a big payout.
What makes Artifice so dangerous?
Its surface is swarming with oversized robots armed with rocket launchers and flamethrowers. That's the threat that sets it apart from the other moons.
Which moon has the biggest interior?
Titan has the largest interior in the game. Among the free moons, March is the biggest, with an interior close to twice the size of Experimentation's or Assurance's.
