All 133 Creatures, Bosses and Their Drops in Grounded 2

Updated on November 1, 2026 (3 days ago)

Grounded 2 is a survival game where you've been shrunk down to bug size and have to live alongside the insects, spiders and other small animals in Brookhollow Park. Those animals are the creatures of the game. Some ignore you, some attack the moment they spot you, and a few are bosses far stronger than the rest. They also supply food, materials, rides and some of the toughest fights you'll face.

Which Creatures Attack You?

Creatures fall into three groups based on how they act toward you, and knowing the group tells you how to approach. Harmless creatures never start a fight, and they usually run off when you hit them. Many of them leave meat behind, which makes them a safe way to get food.

Neutral creatures stay calm until you provoke them, and some of them stick together. Hit a Cockroach Nymph and the nymphs nearby can turn on you too, since neutral swarms pull in their own kind. Crickets are neutral as well, but they keep their distance and run as far as they can when threatened, so you only end up in a fight with one if you chase it.

Angry creatures attack as soon as they spot you, so plan before you walk into their area. Wolf Spiders are among the strongest regular enemies, and Orb Weavers usually come with their young, so a ranged weapon and good armor are a smart pick.

How the PEEP.R and Creature Cards Work

The PEEP.R is the tool that tells you what a creature is. Point it at a creature, dead or alive, and peep it to identify it and collect its Creature Card. The card lists the creature's loot, what it resists, what it's weak to, and where it lives.

Check the card before you fight, since it shows which weapons and damage types will work best. It also helps you decide whether a creature's loot is worth the trouble. Planning ahead this way saves you from learning a weakness the hard way.

How Creatures Fight Back

Many creatures don't simply rush at you. They can hold a defensive stance that blocks light attacks, and a charge attack breaks that stance and leaves them staggered. Light hits will bounce off, so save your charge for when the creature is guarding.

They also use feints and ripostes. A feint is a fake attack start that can throw off a block you timed perfectly, so wait for the real swing before you react. A riposte is a counterattack, usually launched from that defensive stance, so a block doesn't always end the exchange.

How to Get and Ride Buggies

Some creature eggs can be stolen and raised in a Hatchery until they hatch into rideable Buggies. Most Buggies unlock through a story quest, and each one has its own route. The Orb Weaver, for example, unlocks after you defeat the Masked Stranger at the Network Center.

Riding a Buggy also changes how some creatures treat you. Red Soldier Ants and Black Soldier Ants won't attack while you're riding their matching Buggy, which makes it a practical way to move through their territory.

O.R.C. Creatures and the Masked Stranger

O.R.C. creatures are regular bugs twisted into aggressive versions under the Masked Stranger's control. The group includes many bugs you meet elsewhere, such as Red Soldier Ants, Spiderlings and Wolf Spiders, and even calm ones like Ladybugs and Bees. So don't assume a bug is safe just because its everyday version is calm.

They attack on sight, though most stay put until you get close. Many can also join O.R.C. Raids, which head for wherever you are. Most drop an O.R.C. Receiver along with their usual loot.

They also have weak spots you can use. Disruptor Arrows, the O.R.C. Nullifier and the Volatile Capacitor can exploit them, so bring them along when you head into O.R.C. territory.

O.G.R.R. Creatures and the Toe Biter Leviathan

O.G.R.R. creatures are extremely powerful versions of existing creatures, genetically modified by Ominent using candy. Each one plays more like a mini-boss, and they're placed in sparse or hard-to-reach areas, so you'll have to go looking for them. Every O.G.R.R. creature drops Buffin' Gland, and that's the only place to get it.

Their mutations are randomized, so each fight can play out differently. The mutations change weaknesses, resistances and some positive effects, so check the card before you engage.

The O.G.R.R. Toe Biter Leviathan is one of the toughest fights in the game. It stacks several status effects at once and calls in smaller creatures every time it lands a hit, so come ready for both.

Bosses and What to Prepare For

Bosses are far stronger than regular creatures, and they show up in two ways. Some are hidden around the park and summoned with a specific item. King Dozer, for example, starts when you place a Goopy Gobbler on its pedestal in the Greenhouse Surroundings. Others are tied to the main story, like the Masked Stranger at the end of the Network Center.

AXL, the Colossal Tarantula at Pine Hill, is one of the hardest fights in the game. It has several phases with heavy damage, and it's summoned with a Poached Roach Roast left at its lair. Bosses hit hard, so pick your gear before you go rather than mid-fight.

FAQ

Q.

Why can't I find some creatures in my save?

Several boss-style creatures, including the Wasp Queen and Orchid Mantis, only appear in player-made Playgrounds, not in regular saves. Most of them carried over from the original Grounded.

Q.

How long do buggy eggs take to hatch?

Hatching runs on in-game time. A Red Soldier Ant egg takes about 12 hours and an Orb Weaver egg about 24, and sleeping can shorten the wait. If an enemy hits you while you're carrying an egg, you drop it, so carry it carefully.
