Reading boat stats
Top speed is measured in studs per second and is the headline number, but the other stats decide how a boat actually feels: steering sets turn rate, acceleration sets how quickly you reach that top speed, and durability governs which dangerous waters a hull can survive. Seats matter for crews: a fast solo boat helps nobody else.
Choosing a boat
- Early on, buy whatever the Shipwright sells at your level; boats unlock as you level and cheap hulls beat swimming by miles.
- For daily island-hopping, acceleration is underrated: short trips never reach top speed, so a quick-accelerating boat wins commutes.
- For long expeditions and dangerous waters, top speed and durability take over.
- Crew boats with several seats turn group sessions into one trip instead of four.
Unavailable boats (retired bundles and event craft) are listed with their stats for owners and collectors; they still sail, they just cannot be bought.

Which boat stat matters most?
For short island hops, acceleration, since you rarely reach top speed. For long crossings, top speed. Steering matters most in tight waters, and durability decides which dangerous seas you can enter at all.
Do boats despawn or need repair?
Boats are summoned when needed and carry a durability stat that governs dangerous waters rather than wear. If a boat sinks or is lost, summon it again.
