Drill to Earth's Core is a Roblox game where you team up with other players, upgrade your drill, and dig toward the center of the planet. The ground is split into layers, and each one brings its own rock, enemies and hazards. Knowing how the layers work is the easiest way to get deeper without getting stuck.

What Are the Layers in Drill to Earth's Core?
Layers are the bands of ground stacked from the surface down, and you start in the grass at the top. Every band below it is harder to get through than the one above, so the trip gets more demanding the deeper you go. Most players aim for 100 km, which is 100,000 meters down.
How Each Layer Works
Every layer follows the same basic loop. You drill down, loot what you find, fight off the enemies, sell what you don't need, and spend the money on upgrades. Dungeons also turn up along the way, where you can gather fuel and loot, but their enemies can slow your descent.
Most layers open with a rest stop that has a shop and a trading post. That's where you sell what you've gathered and restock before pushing deeper. The Toxic Layer is the exception, because the Void has swallowed its rest stop, though the shop is still there.
From the Stone layer on, enemies can come with a mutation, an extra trait that changes how they fight. Each layer tends to add its own, so a fight that felt easy a layer ago can become a real problem.
Boss Walls: What Stands Between You and the Next Layer
Each layer ends in a boss wall, the toughest wall in that layer. A cave sits on each side of it, and once your drill reaches the wall, enemies start pouring out of those caves. Your team has to hold them off while the drill keeps digging, since the wall keeps the next layer shut until it's broken.
Each boss wall is tougher than the one before it, so your team's damage has to keep up as you go deeper. Starting with the Dirt Layer, breaking a boss wall also pays out Cores, which are separate from the Coins you earn during a run and are spent on classes in the lobby. The deeper the wall, the more Cores it pays.
Which Layers Matter Most
A few layers shape a run more than the rest, so it helps to know them before you get there. The Clay layer has the first special boss wall, and the Void covering it drains your drill's fuel to zero the moment you arrive. Bring coal with you so you can keep going once you reach it.
The Stone layer is where Loot Goblins first appear, and they can snatch items right off the drill. Keep an eye on your loot as you pass through.
The Crystal layer brings Fuel Leeches, which drain your fuel tank, along with enemies that carry the Stone mutation. Those enemies take damage only from pickaxes or explosives, so bring those along.
The Glowing Core begins around 84 km, and the Wolf Bat guards its boss wall at 100 km. It teleports, throws energy orbs and rushes at players, so plan for it before you reach the wall.
Fuel: Keeping the Drill Running
Your drill runs on coal, and once the fuel tank is empty, the drill stops. Without fuel it can't keep digging, so the tank is worth watching on every trip. Grab coal as you pass it, since looting defeated enemies can also give you fuel.
Surviving the Deeper Layers
Health becomes the real limit as you go down, since enemies hit harder the further you get. Golden Medkits and Revive Kits are worth carrying before you push past 100 km, and teammates can revive each other when a dive goes badly. The trading post also sells upgrades such as Health Regen and Team Health.
Blocks get tougher the deeper you dig, so your drill has to keep up. RPM Overclock, Drill Power and Power Burst are the upgrades that help you break those harder blocks, so they're the ones to prioritize. A stronger drill won't help if you can't survive the fight, so keep your health and your drill growing together.
What Happens After the 100 km Wall
A normal run ends at the boss wall at 100 km. Past that point, Infinite Mode keeps the digging going down to 1,000 km, where the Heart of the Earth begins. Prices at the trading post climb the deeper you dig.
FAQ
What should I do when my drill runs out of fuel?
Step out of the drill and refuel it by hand. It's worth stopping to mine any coal you pass rather than driving on by.
What does the Giant mutation do?
Giant enemies are bigger and slower than normal ones, but they drop more fuel, so they can help top up a low tank.
