Which Chop A Forest Upgrade Fixes Your Slowdown
Hands Speed makes each punch faster, and Hands Hold keeps punches going while you hold the button. Hands Hold costs 20 Coins and Hands Speed costs 30 Coins, both well under the Axe's 150 Coins. When the Axe is close, don't overspend on hand upgrades, because they lose value once the Axe takes over.
Grasp or Backpack for Carrying More Logs
Grasp changes how many logs one grab picks up, and it costs 175 Coins. Backpack Capacity changes how many logs you can carry in total, so Grasp won't fix a full backpack. If your grabs are small but your backpack still has room, Grasp is the one to buy.
Your first backpack costs 175 Coins and holds 10 logs in the bag, with about 5 more in your hands. The tools guide covers that first purchase. The later tiers hold 25 logs for 750 Coins, 75 logs for 3,000 Coins and 150 logs for 9,000 Coins.
Axe and Chainsaw Upgrades for Faster Chopping
Axe Sharpness is the upgrade for trees that take too many hits. Level 1 costs 200 Coins, Level 2 costs 300, Level 4 costs 400, Level 5 costs 600 and Level 6 costs 1,250.
Axe Speed raises how often each Axe swing lands a chop. Cutting Radius widens how much each swing covers.
Axe Sharpness and Axe Speed only show up after you own the Axe. Chainsaw Cut Speed unlocks after you buy the Chainsaw at the Tool Shop.
Walk Speed and Chipper Speed on Every Trip
Walk Speed affects every trip. Level 1 costs 20 Coins, and Level 6 costs 1,000 Coins.
Chipper Speed costs 200 Coins and speeds up the queue at the chipper. Buy it when waiting to sell is what slows you down.
How Upgrade Prices and Forest Resets Work
Later levels of an upgrade cost more than the level before. Upgrades in the Tab menu show their next price, so read the highlighted line's name before you buy.
Coin upgrades last only for the current forest, and a new forest starts from zero. Cutting upgrades you already bought keep working in later areas of the same forest.
