Hammers are the tools you swing to smash eggs and blocks in Break a Brainrot Egg, a Roblox game about hatching Brainrots and placing them in your base to earn cash. Each hammer has a Power rating that decides how fast it breaks through an egg, and the hammers climb from the free Toy up to Pirate God. Picking the right one matters more as the eggs get tougher.

What Hammers Do in Break a Brainrot Egg
To open an egg, equip a hammer, stand close to it, and keep swinging. Each hit drains the egg's health, or HP, and the egg opens once that bar is empty. Blocks have health too, so the same hammer handles both eggs and blocks.
How Hammer Power Works
Every hammer has a Power rating, and it's the main number to compare when you're choosing one. A stronger hammer drains an egg's health faster, so you spend less time swinging.
Eggs get much tougher as you move deeper into the field, so a hammer that works well early can fall behind later. A hammer that's too weak for an egg can fail to break it at all, so your Power has to keep up with the eggs you're trying to open.
How to Get Hammers and When to Upgrade
Hammers are sold at the shop by the starting line, and you pay with the cash you've earned. That cash comes from the Brainrots you place in empty base slots, so fill your open slots before you spend big on a hammer.
Buy the most powerful hammer your cash covers, but only if it will actually help. If your eggs already break in one or two hits, your real bottleneck is income, so spend on leveling the Brainrots that earn your cash instead. After you buy, check that breaking got faster, because if it didn't, the slowdown is somewhere else. Prices can change between updates, so look at the shop before you buy.
Which Break a Brainrot Egg Hammers Matter Most
Toy is the free hammer you start with, so every player begins there, and it's enough to get going. Emerald is the hammer to aim for while you're still in the early field, since it's the first one to reach triple-digit Power.
Is Pirate God Worth Buying?
Pirate God sits at the top of the shop by the starting line, so it's the last hammer on the ladder and the most expensive one you can buy. Its Power is only a small step above Cyber Punk, but its cost is more than three times as much. That makes it a goal to work toward rather than an early buy. Later zones may hold stronger tools, so the top of this shop isn't necessarily the top of the game.
What Rebirth Does to Your Hammers
Rebirth resets your Cash and the hammers you bought with Cash, so you'll be buying your way back up afterward. Because of that, timing matters. If a rebirth is close, it usually makes more sense to rebirth first and rebuy your hammers afterward, rather than spend heavily on one you're about to lose.
FAQ
Can I get through the early game with only the Toy hammer?
Toy can handle the simplest eggs, but it won't keep up for long. The next few hammers, from Wood through Diamond, are cheap next to the rest of the ladder, so there's little reason to stay on Toy for long.
Why won't my hammer break an egg?
Check that the hammer is equipped and that you're standing close to the egg first. If it still takes no damage, the hammer is probably too weak for that egg, and the fix is a stronger hammer rather than more swinging.
Do I keep my hammers after a rebirth?
Only hammers bought with Cash are reset. The free Toy isn't one of them, so you always have something to swing with.
