How to Get Brainrots in Break a Brainrot Egg

Start with a hammer, then head past the starting line from the lobby into the field. Walk up to an egg and hit it until its health bar runs out, and a random brainrot appears where the egg was. Pick it up and carry it back to your base to claim it.

Eggs take a few hits, and a stronger hammer breaks them faster, which matters more in later zones where the eggs are tougher. The field is split into zones, and the farther you travel, the better your chances of rarer eggs. Eggs come in a few types, including standard eggs, Lucky Eggs, Lucky Blocks and vault eggs.

How Brainrots Earn Cash at Your Base

Each brainrot you place in a base slot produces cash over time, and you collect that cash from your base. Each slot works like a printer, so an empty slot is income you're missing. It pays to swap common brainrots for rarer ones as soon as you can.

Upgrading is the next step. You can level up a placed brainrot to raise its earnings, and it makes the most sense when the cost is only a small fraction of your income.

Mutations are another way to power up a brainrot. The mutation machine needs two copies of the same brainrot to run.

Brainrot Rarity Labels Explained

The game sorts brainrots into rarity labels in this order: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Godly, Secret, OG, Divine and Cosmic. The in-game collection index lists them in the same order.

Higher labels generally earn more, but leveling and mutations also shape how much a brainrot earns. An egg's label isn't a promise either. An egg can give you a brainrot from a different label, so the label shows what's possible rather than what you'll get.

Brainrots You Need for Rebirth

Rebirth is where specific brainrots matter most, because each rebirth asks for certain brainrots along with a set amount of cash. The first rebirth needs Trippy Troppy and Bandito Bobrito, and the third needs Burbaloni Luliloli and Biskuit Anjing. The Rebirth panel in-game is the final word on the exact requirements, so check it before you save up.

Rebirth resets your Cash and the hammers you bought with Cash, and the confirmation panel lists anything else it will reset, so read its warning before you confirm. In return, you get more base slots and income multipliers.
