Brainrots are the collectible characters in Break a Brainrot Egg. Players hatch them by breaking eggs and lucky blocks in the field, then place them in base slots, where each one earns cash over time. They come in rarity labels from Common up to Cosmic, and leveling and mutations change how much each one earns.

Eggs and lucky blocks are the main way to get new Brainrots in Break a Brainrot Egg. You break them with a hammer, and each one releases a random Brainrot to take back to your base. Eggs come as rarity, zone, vault, pet and cash types, while lucky blocks include field blocks and blocks you buy with Robux.

Hammers are the tools players swing to break eggs and blocks in Break a Brainrot Egg. They climb from the free Toy hammer up to Pirate God, and the rest are bought with Cash from the shop by the starting line. A hammer's Power decides how quickly it breaks through an egg's health, so stronger hammers become necessary as eggs get tougher. Rebirth resets your Cash and the hammers you bought with it.

Gears are extra tools in Break a Brainrot Egg that work alongside your hammer. They're sold in the Gears shop, which opens after your first rebirth. Each one has a specific job, from speed and movement to pushing other players off an egg or staying hidden. Buying them one at a time, starting with Speed Coil, is the simplest way to build your set.
