Portals are one of the main ways to earn extra rewards in Anime Adventures, the Roblox tower defense game built around units. Each one is an item that opens into its own separate stage, and that stage is where the rewards come from. Those rewards can be evolution items, units, more portals, or a chance at a rare secret portal. Knowing how portals move through your inventory and where they come from makes it easier to choose which ones are worth your time.

What Are Portals in Anime Adventures?
Portals are items that sit in the Portals tab of your inventory until you use them. They work more like a ticket than a prize, because the stage they open is where the rewards are. Each portal leads to its own stage, so the name on the item tells you what kind of run you're signing up for.
How Portals Work in Anime Adventures
The cycle starts in your inventory. You open a portal from the Portals tab, and it takes you into its stage. Opening a portal can return more portals of the same type, and those go back into your inventory. That means one portal can lead straight into the next, which is why it helps to check the Portals tab after each run.
Where to Get Portals in Anime Adventures
Portals come from several separate routes, and each one works differently. Infinite modes reward portals through play. Drops are random, so a run can end with nothing, and the Shibuya Portal, for example, drops from Shibuya Infinite mode.
Limited stores are another route. They sell portals, but their stock isn't permanent, so buy what you need while it's on the shelf. Clearing a portal can also give a slight chance at its secret portal, and one clear doesn't guarantee it.
The Deception Portal follows a different path. You collect Contracts from the Legendary Assassin, and each Contract asks you to beat a specific boss. Finishing one lets you choose a reward, and Death Dice are one of the options. Death Dice are used to craft a Secret Portal, and that's the route that leads to Switchblade.
Which Portals Matter Most
The portals worth your time depend on what you're working toward. If you're evolving units, look for portals that give evolution items. If you're chasing one particular unit, the portal that leads to it is the one to farm. Secret portals are the rarest, so they're worth the effort mainly when a specific secret unit is on your list.
Secret Portals in Anime Adventures
Secret portals are the rarest portals in the game, and each one is tied to a special unit. The Deception Portal leads to Switchblade, and the Restriction Portal leads to Sorcerer Killer. Each one has its own route, so don't assume a secret portal works like a regular drop. Many older secret portals have been retired, so a unit's route may no longer be open.
How to Get Switchblade from the Deception Portal
Switchblade comes from the Deception Portal, and you reach that portal through the Contracts and Death Dice route described above. Who hosts the run matters here. The host is guaranteed to get Switchblade, while players who join someone else's run have only a very small chance. If you want him, host the run yourself, or let the player who wants him host whenever the group allows it.
How to Get Sorcerer Killer from the Restriction Portal
Sorcerer Killer is a secret unit based on Toji Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen, and he is tied to the Restriction Portal. Clearing the Shibuya Portal is how you get a chance at it, but the drop isn't guaranteed, even after you beat the final boss. Since each run only gives a chance, repeating the Shibuya Portal is how you raise your odds. Treat it as a grind rather than a sure thing.
FAQ
What's the difference between the Divine Treasure Portal and the Shibuya Portal?
They come from different places and open different stages. The Divine Treasure Portal can appear as a bonus when you pull Shadow Sorcerer (Incident) from a banner. It opens a special version of Shibuya District built around evolution materials. The Shibuya Portal drops from Shibuya District's Infinite mode, which stays locked until you clear all its acts in that district, so the two have different acquisition routes.
Is Dungeon mode the same as the portals in my inventory?
No. Portals wait in the Portals tab, and each one opens its own stage. Dungeon mode works differently, since you need a Dungeon Key to enter. Inside, you move through a maze with rooms that hold chests and shops, and what the chests give is down to luck. Keys come from a daily login reward, and the Gambler NPC also sells them.
