How to look up a Roblox player by username
- Type the player's username, not their display name. Usernames are unique, so the lookup lands on exactly one account.

Username vs display name: which one do you search?
A Roblox username is unique; only one account can ever hold it. A display name is not unique, and any number of accounts can share one. That is why the checker searches by username: it always resolves to exactly one account.
If you only know a display name, type it anyway. The suggestions list shows matching accounts with the real @username under each one, which is the quickest way to spot a lookalike imitating a popular player. When in doubt, compare account age and past usernames; a copycat account is usually much newer than the original.
How to check a Roblox account's age
The profile card shows the date the account was created and how old that makes it. Account age comes straight from Roblox and cannot be edited, which makes it one of the most reliable signals on a profile:
- Very new accounts carry more risk in trades and deals.
- An account claiming years of history should have an age to match.
- Past usernames add context: a rename changes the name, not the history.
Banned accounts still resolve, and the card marks them as banned instead of failing the lookup.
How to check a Roblox trader's limiteds and RAP
Before accepting a trade, look up the other player and read three things together:
- Account age: fresh accounts are a common thread in trade scams.
- Collectibles: the checker lists the account's most valuable public limiteds with a combined value based on recent average prices (RAP).
- Past usernames: frequent renames are worth a second look before a big trade.
RAP is an estimate, not a price tag. Real trades close above and below it, and very large inventories may not be counted in full, so treat the total as a fairness check. A private inventory is not proof of anything wrong, but it does mean you are trading without seeing the other side's items.
What a Roblox profile checker cannot show
Roblox keeps some information private no matter whose profile you check:
- Friends appear as a count, not a list of names.
- There is no last-online time for offline accounts.
- Premium membership status is not public.
- Online status is broad: online, in a game, or in Studio, but not which game, because Roblox hides that by default.
- Badges earned inside games are not public either; only platform badges appear.
