- Press Enter on PC, Triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox to add a phrase.
- Type the phrase exactly as written.
- Switch the cheat on to activate it.
Why a Cheat Code Won't Work
Capital letters don't matter. Punctuation does. RUN! RUN! RUN! needs all of its exclamation marks, and WOULD YOU BE HAPPIER AS A CLOWN? needs its question mark, so copy the punctuation exactly.
If a cheat is newspaper-gated, the phrase won't work until you've bought that paper.
Which Newspapers Unlock Which Cheats
Some cheats stay locked until you buy a specific newspaper after a specific story mission. Buy the paper named for the cheat, and it unlocks.
The gates run in story order. The infinite ammunition paper comes first, from Chapter 2, and the epilogue spawns come last. For the infinite stamina paper, finishing Chapter 5 is a safe point if you're not sure you've reached the mission it names. The full map's paper also comes as Saint Denis Times 47.
Does Activating a Cheat Block Saving or Trophies?
Yes. Activating any cheat blocks saving and disables Achievements and Trophies for that session. Adding a phrase doesn't trigger this, so you can add phrases and save before you switch anything on. If trophies matter to you, leave cheats off for that session.

Is there an invincibility cheat in Red Dead Redemption 2?
No. RDR2 has no invincibility cheat. The closest options refill or fortify your Health, Stamina and Dead Eye bars.
Do these cheats work in Red Dead Online?
No. The phrases work only in Story Mode.
