Famous Gunslingers
Mailing this set rewards Special Snake Oil and $50. Emmet Granger's card retains the documented Canebreak Manor versus Fort Wallace location conflict, so verify the pickup in-game.
Artists
Mailing this set rewards Ginseng Elixir and $100. Some pickups need later Blackwater access, and the Annesburg stop carries a trespass or combat risk.
Vistas of America
Mailing this set rewards a Gold Nugget and $100. Its route includes later Blackwater and New Austin stops.
Gems of Beauty
Mailing this set rewards a Platinum Chain Necklace and $100. One pickup is in later-access Blackwater.
Flora of America
Mailing this set rewards Special Miracle Tonic and $50. New Austin pickups are later-area stops, and alternate spellings do not create extra entries.
Stars of the Stage
Mailing this set rewards a Small Jewelry Bag and $50. Theater Raleur has an access gate, Robin Koninsky requires the Chapter 4 performances, and New Austin pickups are later-area stops.
Fauna of America
Mailing this set rewards a Perfect Rabbit Pelt and $50.

Mailing this set rewards Aged Pirate Rum and $50.
World Champions
Mailing this set rewards Valerian Root and $50.

Start the activity
After Who is Not without Sin in Chapter 2, speak with Phineas T. Ramsbottom at Flatneck Station to start Smoking and Other Hobbies. Fixed pickups are the clearest route. Premium Cigarette Packs can supply a random missing card, but duplicates are possible. The collection-level quest gate is clear, but the exact mission-gated card inside each set is not established, so follow the access notes for each card without adding an unverified per-card requirement.
The scope is Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode, including normal epilogue world access. The shared base collectible structure applies across supported releases; special, ultimate, preorder, platform-exclusive, and physical Collector's Box variants are outside this activity. Red Dead Online, Red Dead Redemption, and Undead Nightmare are outside this activity as well.
Plan around access
Blackwater and New Austin locations require later access, so plan those travel legs for the point in the story when the normal route is available. Robin Koninsky is a special case: reach Fatherhood and Other Dreams in Chapter 4 and view all five Theater Raleur performances before checking the stage.
Emmet Granger's row keeps a documented location conflict. Canebreak Manor in Bluewater Marsh is one reported fixed location, while an alternate Fort Wallace pickup is tied to a Chapter 6 mission window. Verify that stop in-game rather than treating the alternate as a second entry. Premium Cigarette Packs remain a fallback.
Mail finished sets
Mail a completed set to Phineas at a Post Office. Completing one set is enough for the game's 100% checklist, while finishing the whole collection is a separate goal. The first completed set also awards Vintage Civil War Handcuffs, and mailing all sets adds $200 alongside the reward for each set.
FAQ
When does Smoking and Other Hobbies become available?
After Who is Not without Sin in Chapter 2, speak with Phineas T. Ramsbottom at Flatneck Station to start the activity.
Can Premium Cigarette Packs supply a missing card?
Yes. The draw is random and may produce duplicates, so use packs as a fallback when a fixed pickup is still missing.
Does one completed set satisfy 100% completion?
Yes. Completing one set is enough for the game's 100% checklist, but finishing the whole collection and mailing its sets is a separate goal.
Which locations require later access?
Some fixed pickups are in Blackwater or New Austin. Robin Koninsky also requires Fatherhood and Other Dreams in Chapter 4 and all five Theater Raleur performances.
What should I do if Emmet Granger is not at the expected location?
The documented route has a conflict between Canebreak Manor in Bluewater Marsh and an alternate Fort Wallace pickup during a Chapter 6 mission window. Check the fixed location in-game, and use Premium Cigarette Packs as a fallback.
What extra rewards come from finishing the collection?
The first completed set awards Vintage Civil War Handcuffs. Mailing all sets adds $200 in addition to each set's own mailing reward.
Does this cover Red Dead Online?
No. This covers Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode, including epilogue world access. Red Dead Online, Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare, physical Collector's Box cards, and edition-specific variants are outside its scope.
