The Enchanted Mutation in Steal An Egg does not come from a normal egg roll. You need to open Wisp's route in the Enchanted Forest, enter the Enchanted Tree, collect four butterfly types during Butterfly Bloom, and craft Enchanted Essence at the shrine. Essence then guarantees the mutation when you use it on the placed, unhatched Egg you want to mutate.
Here's the full route, including how to handle the Forest access prompt, Wisp's fusion objective, and Butterfly Bloom timing.
How to unlock Enchanted Mutation in Steal An Egg
The Shrine is inside the Enchanted Tree, so start by opening that tree. Plan for 50B Speed, then follow the access prompt in your server because the threshold can change.
How to find Wisp and start the Enchanted Tree route
Look for the small golden Wisp near the Enchanted Forest entrance, the recommended-Speed board, or the sealed tree area. Interact with Wisp and open the Grow Your Wisp panel. The panel controls the objectives that lead to the tree, so keep it open when you need to check which row is active. If you want a separate breakdown of this prerequisite, see the Wisp quest guide.

Wisp quest objectives and the Enchanted Tree
The Wisp panel shows three objectives before the return action. Complete them in order. A later row can stay locked until the previous row registers in the panel.

- Steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs. Take the eggs from the Forest nests and return them to your base. Wait for the Grow Your Wisp panel to show 20/20 before moving on.
- Fuse an Enchanted Forest animal. Use the Fuse Machine at your base or in the spawn area, then follow the wording or counter in your live Wisp panel. Keep using the live objective until the row marks the fusion complete. A normal Fuse Machine transaction uses three exact copies of one species, but that rule does not tell you how many transactions this Wisp objective requires. See the Fuse Machine guide for the regular fusion rule.
- Steal any Eternal. The current panel does not name a required biome. Steal an eligible Eternal, then reopen Grow Your Wisp and check that the row has registered.
Return the Wisp and enter the Enchanted Tree
When all three rows are complete, select Return the Wisp in the Grow Your Wisp panel. Then go back to the large tree with the glowing spiral in the Enchanted Forest and interact with its sealed entrance. Choose Enter Enchanted Tree when the interaction appears.

Return the Wisp and entering the tree are separate interactions. If the door is still sealed, check the panel first and make sure the Return the Wisp action completed.
How to get the Butterfly Net and collect butterflies
Inside the unlocked Enchanted Tree, pick up the free Butterfly Net from the center area. You need to claim the net before the butterfly collection loop works.

When Butterfly Bloom starts, equip the net and catch butterflies in the event area in the Enchanted Forest. Butterfly Bloom may return about every 30 minutes, but the game does not confirm a fixed schedule. Wait for the in-game event prompt instead of planning around a specific minute.
You need Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst, and Radiant Butterflies for the Shrine. You can catch higher tiers directly or trade lower tiers up at the Conversion Center.
Enchanted Essence recipe and butterfly conversions
The conversion trades help turn common butterflies into the rarer types. They are separate from the quantities required by the Enchanted Mutation Shrine.
| Trade in | Receive |
|---|---|
| 10 Emerald Butterflies | 1 Sapphire Butterfly |
| 10 Sapphire Butterflies | 1 Amethyst Butterfly |
| 50 Amethyst Butterflies | 1 Radiant Butterfly |
After you have the required mix, use the Enchanted Mutation Shrine inside the tree. The Shrine makes one Enchanted Essence from these amounts:

| Butterfly | Needed for 1 Enchanted Essence |
|---|---|
| Emerald Butterfly | 240 |
| Sapphire Butterfly | 115 |
| Amethyst Butterfly | 40 |
| Radiant Butterfly | 1 |
Submit the four displayed quantities at the Shrine to craft one Essence. The recipe asks for each tier separately, so a higher-tier butterfly you catch can fill that tier's row without first converting it from Emeralds.
How to use Enchanted Essence on an Egg
Place the Egg you want to mutate, and use the Enchanted Mutation Shrine interaction on that unhatched Egg with Enchanted Essence available. Confirm the mutation prompt after the Shrine recognizes the Egg. The double-mutation guide shows the same placed, unhatched Egg interaction pattern for mutation items.
Enchanted Essence has a 100% application chance for the Enchanted Mutation. That number guarantees that the mutation is applied successfully. It is not an income multiplier or a promise of specific earnings.
Steal An Egg Enchanted Mutation troubleshooting
Wisp is missing
Check that you are in Steal An Egg's current Enchanted Forest route and follow the Speed prompt in your server. Use 50B Speed as the safe planning target, then search around the entrance, recommended-Speed board, and sealed tree.
A Wisp row is still locked
Finish the earlier row and wait for its counter to update before trying the next action. For the fusion row, read the live wording and counter rather than assuming a fixed number from another guide. For the egg row, return stolen eggs to your base so the 20/20 condition can register.
The Enchanted Tree stays sealed
Reopen Grow Your Wisp and use Return the Wisp after all three objectives show as complete. Then interact with the tree entrance again. Rejoining or changing servers is only a loading check; it does not replace the return action.
Butterflies are not appearing
Make sure you entered the Enchanted Tree and claimed the free Butterfly Net. After that, wait for the in-game Butterfly Bloom prompt. Do not rely on a fixed 30-minute clock if the event is not active in your server.
