How to Get the Scrambled Mutation in Steal An Egg
Earn Samples through the Dr. Scramble activity shown by the live portal. Depending on the event version, that means completing Dr. Scramble's Mech or defeating Dr. Scramble's drones during an active wave, so check the portal and event UI before farming instead of assuming one route is always available.

How to Apply Two Mutations to the Same Egg in Steal An Egg
Once both consumables are ready, use this order on one egg. Do not hatch it or switch to another egg between the two successful applications.
- Place the target egg. Put a worthwhile egg in your own plot and confirm that its hatch timer is still running. A valuable egg is a recommendation, not a requirement, because failed attempts can consume items.
- Apply the first item. Equip
Mutation Consumable, stand near the placed egg, and use the visible Apply Mutation prompt. Wait for the Fractured success notification or label before doing anything else. If the attempt fails, use another

What to Do When a Mutation Attempt Fails
If the success notification or mutation label does not appear, treat the attempt as unconfirmed. Before spending the next item, make these quick checks:
- Confirm the correct consumable is equipped and that the Apply Mutation prompt is visible near the placed egg.
- Check that you are still interacting with the same egg and that its hatch timer has not finished.
- Watch the item count and result notification. A failed use may consume the item, so do not assume the item remained available just because no mutation appeared.
- If Fractured is already confirmed but Scrambled fails, keep that same egg unhatched and retry only the Scrambled item.
How to Check Your Double-Mutated Pet
After both success messages appear, wait for the egg's normal incubation to finish and hatch it. Open the resulting pet card and look for both Fractured and Scrambled labels.
A displayed income value is the useful result for that pet, not a fixed multiplier to assume before the hatch. Save valuable eggs for attempts when you have both items and extra tries ready, and check the live event and shop UI each time because the available resource routes and stock may change.
