Fusing three duplicates in Steal An Egg by and Collect Rare Pets turns them into one same-species egg, but the normal Fuse Machine is a reroll rather than a guaranteed upgrade. You pay the fee shown in the menu, hatch the egg, and then check its size, income, and mutation against the pets you gave up.
This guide covers the normal recipe and the full interaction first, then separates the Secret Fusion Shrine pairings so you do not use the wrong system.
How the Steal an Egg Fuse Machine Recipe Works
The normal recipe is simple, but it is stricter than matching a rarity. You need three copies of one exact species. Three pets that merely share a rarity will not make a valid normal-machine recipe, and the normal formula can use matching pets from any biome.
| System | Required inputs | Immediate result | Important condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal Fuse Machine | 3 pets of the exact same species | 1 egg of that same species | All three inputs are consumed, the fee is shown in the live menu, and the egg gets a new result roll |
For example, the useful part of a normal recipe is 3 x the same species, not a particular species name or a fixed rarity combination. The machine interface also warns that better pets give more Luck, but that message does not turn the result into a guaranteed upgrade.
How to Use the Steal an Egg Fuse Machine
Find the Fuse Machine in the safe zone near your base and pen. Before interacting with it, bring three matching pets, enough cash for the fee currently shown by the machine, and room in your pen for the egg that comes out.

- Interact with the machine to open the Fuse Pets menu.
- Select one copy of the same species in each of the three plus slots.
- Check that all three slots are filled with the intended species and read the cash fee printed on the Fuse button. The amount can change, so use the current display instead of an old cost list.
- Press Fuse when the recipe and fee are correct. The three pets disappear and a same-species egg appears. Treat this as a one-way trade because the inputs have been consumed.
- Move the egg to your pen and let it hatch. Equip or place the resulting pet only after checking whether the roll is useful for your lineup.
If the confirmation is not available, check the three common causes first: a slot is empty, the selected pets are not the exact same species, or you do not have enough cash for the displayed fee. The egg is a separate step after the fusion, so make sure you have a place to hatch it before spending your duplicates.
Normal Fuse Machine Recipes and Best Input Advice
There is no species-by-species recipe list for the normal machine. Any three exact copies follow the same formula, so the real decision is which duplicate set you can afford to lose.
Use expendable duplicates rather than the pets currently doing most of your earning. Keep a strong active pet outside the machine, and be especially careful with rare mutations because the input mutation is not guaranteed to carry to the new result. If losing one of the three pets would damage your lineup, that set is not spare enough to fuse.
If you have a spare set, try Secret, Eternal, or Divine duplicates from any biome for a higher-quality attempt. The machine's interface says better pets give more Luck, but treat that as a quality preference, not a probability table: the exact odds and formula are not published, and no rarity guarantees a particular size, income value, or mutation.
What the Fuse Machine Can Roll and What You Can Lose
The machine preserves the species in the egg, but it does not promise to preserve the value of the inputs. After the egg hatches, compare the new pet's weight, mutation, and Money per second with the three pets you sacrificed. The result may be worth keeping, but it can also be a weaker roll.
One captured Scorpion test shows why the machine should be treated as a gamble rather than an upgrade button:
| Observed test | Inputs | Result | Lesson |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scorpion fusion | 457 kg, 256 kg, and 247 kg Scorpions, including one Silver variant; the displayed fee was $114 million | Scorpion Egg that hatched into an 86 kg Scorpion | The output can be lighter than every input, and the displayed fee is an example rather than a permanent price |
Do not read that example as a fixed minimum or a normal expected result. It only proves that input weight is not a guaranteed floor. Once the egg hatches, use the new pet's card to decide whether it earns a place in your lineup. For broader mutation context, see the Steal an Egg mutations guide.
Secret Fusion Shrine Recipes in Steal an Egg
The Secret Fusion Shrine in the Angels and Demons area is a separate two-sided system, not another version of the normal three-pet recipe. If the area is visible in your server, plan for an entrance requirement around 20 billion Speed. Use the live gate and its prompt as the final check, since the area's availability and requirements can change.
At the far end of the area, use the large gate as your landmark and look for the waterfall opposite it. The hidden entrance is behind that waterfall. The Secret Fusion Shrine route guide covers the location in more detail.

Inside, you need one eligible Light pet and one eligible Dark pet from the Angels and Demons biome. The two pairings below use Eternal or Divine pets. Put the Light pet on the yellow pedestal and the Dark pet on the red pedestal.

Some setups let one player hold both qualifying pets, while a partner can supply the missing side in the two-player route. Follow the current pedestal prompts instead of treating a partner as a universal requirement. The pairings are:
| Light input | Dark input | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Pegasus (Eternal) | Skeleton Horse (Eternal) | Equinox Fusion Egg |
| ArchAngel (Divine) | World Burner (Divine) | Aetheron Fusion Egg |
After the shrine finishes, move the Fusion Egg to your pen to hatch it. These pairings belong to the Secret Fusion Shrine only; they do not change the normal Fuse Machine's three-same-species rule.
Before a Shrine run, confirm that the Angels and Demons content is active in your server, then use the live gate and pedestal prompts to check whether the pairing you want is available. The normal machine and Shrine solve different problems: use the three-same-species formula for duplicate pets and the Light/Dark table only inside the Shrine.
