Steal an Egg Mutations Guide: How to Unlock Every Mutation

Updated on August 27, 2026 (4 days ago)

Mutations change a pet's Money per second, but each variant has its own route. Steal an Egg has five reported mutations: Silver, Golden, Rainbow, Bloom, and Spirit Bloom. The first three come from normal egg activity, while the last two are tied to the Sakura Incubator. Exact normal-mutation odds are not published, so treat online percentage claims with care.

Every mutation and its multiplier

These three mutations can start from normal egg activity. Their values are reported base Money per second multipliers, not an official rarity ranking.

Golden2xNormal egg activityGolden mutation egg glowing in a Steal an Egg biome
Rainbow2.5xNormal egg activityRainbow mutation pet shown in a Steal an Egg biome

Do not rank a pet from the mutation label alone. Size or weight affects the pet's starting Money per second, so a larger pet with a lower multiplier can still earn more.

How to get Silver, Golden, and Rainbow

Start with ordinary egg activity and check unusual eggs before you steal or hatch them. The Fuse Machine and Admin Abuse can offer extra chances, but neither is a guaranteed unlock button.

  1. Check the egg. Look for a visible mutation before you commit to the steal or hatch.
  2. Compare the pet card. Check Money per second and size or weight together. The Steal an Egg pets collection helps you compare base income.
  3. Fuse spare pets only. The Fuse Machine takes three matching pets and consumes the inputs. An input mutation is not guaranteed to survive in the result.
  4. Use Admin Abuse chances. Treat the event as an opportunity for a standard mutation, not a guaranteed result. The Steal an Egg hub covers the wider map and system loop.

A valuable mutated pet is a poor fuse experiment. Keep it unless you are comfortable losing its mutation.

How to get Bloom and Spirit Bloom

Bloom and Spirit Bloom do not come from ordinary egg activity. They are Sakura Incubator outcomes in the Cherry Blossom area. The odds and charge figures below are reported, update-sensitive values.

1. Reach Cherry Blossom. The Sakura route begins in this area.

2. Hatch a Crane. Get a Crane from Cherry Blossom eggs.

3. Offer the Crane at the sealed incubator. This unlocks the Sakura Incubator once. Check the confirmation prompt carefully because the first Crane's keep-or-consume result is not safe to assume.

4. Collect Sakura Crystals. Gather them during Great Bloom. About 1,000 crystals is the reported amount for 100% charge, so check the live machine value before spending time farming.

5. Charge the incubator. At least 100% is the reported minimum to activate the roll. 150% is the reported maximum and is worth aiming for when hunting Spirit Bloom, but do not treat it as a guarantee. Read the live prompt before committing more crystals.

6. Insert an unhatched egg from your inventory. The Sakura Incubator then rolls for Bloom or Spirit Bloom. For the longer Crane and Great Bloom route, use the Sakura Incubator walkthrough.

Spirit Bloom has the highest reported multiplier overall, while Rainbow is the highest reported target from normal egg activity. Before you keep a result, compare its Money per second with the pet's size or weight. A shiny label is nice, but the pet card gets the final say.

FAQ

Q.

Can a pet have two mutations at once?

Yes. Reported regular-plus-Sakura combinations exist, but do not assume every mutation combination can stack.

Q.

Can Bloom or Spirit Bloom come from a normal egg?

No. Both are tied to the Sakura Incubator in Cherry Blossom.

Q.

Does 150% charge guarantee Spirit Bloom?

Do not rely on that. 100% activates the roll, 150% is the reported cap, and the live machine prompt should be your final check.

Q.

Will a Fuse Machine result keep a mutation?

There is no guarantee. The three input pets are consumed, and the result can lose the input mutation.
