How to Unlock the Signal Decoder From Paranoid Pete
Everything starts with Paranoid Pete. Talk to him to begin the UFO questline, then repair the broken alien communications machine beside him. That repair gives you the Signal Decoder, the tool you need to track a UFO, so this step has to come first.

UFO Invasion encounters happen every 30 minutes on each server, at :00 and :30. The Signal Decoder locates the active UFO, so use it once an encounter starts. Every player on the server can use the decoder to find the ship.
- Wait for an encounter to begin at :00 or :30.
- Use the Signal Decoder to locate the active UFO, then follow its location on the map to the ship.
- Watch for the "UFO FOUND!" objective, which shows an egg counter and a countdown.
- Find three suspicious eggs under the ship's light and steal them from any biome.
- Bring all three back to the ship before the countdown ends.
- Pick up the UFO Debris the ship drops.
The suspicious eggs are the event's own eggs, the ones with the ship's light falling on them. The objective counts only these, so ordinary eggs won't work. Watch the counter move from 0/3 to 3/3 as you go, so you know the delivery is on track.
After you hand over the eggs, the screen shows "Pick up your reward!" The debris is a separate pickup, so don't leave until you've grabbed it. Keep completing deliveries on later encounters until you have 500 UFO Debris.

Each crystal has a 15% chance to apply Abducted, and buying one doesn't guarantee the mutation. You may need several crystals before one of your eggs gets it, so plan your debris around how many you want to buy.
When the mutation applies, the hatched pet earns a ×2.5 income multiplier, so it makes 2.5 times its normal income. The 15% chance only decides whether the mutation lands on the egg. It isn't an income multiplier, and it doesn't change the strength of the multiplier once the mutation is applied.
