Sell a Million Sushi is a Roblox game about managing a sushi restaurant, and your first sale comes from one simple loop. Hire a fisherman at the waterfront, collect the fish it catches, and carry that fish to the kitchen's Deposit Fish area. Once customers eat, collect the cash from the green money pad inside the restaurant.
| Step | Where to go | How you know it worked |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Hire a fisherman | Hire 1 pad beside the fishermen at the waterfront | A new fisherman appears along the water |
| 2. Collect fish | Catch area beside the fishermen | The Fish counter reaches 3, the opening target |
| 3. Deliver fish | Deposit Fish area by the central cooking counter | The fish you're carrying drops to zero |
| 4. Wait for customers | Stay in the restaurant while they eat | The prompt changes to collecting money |
| 5. Collect cash | Green money collection pad inside the restaurant | Your cash balance goes up |
How to Hire Your First Fisherman in Sell a Million Sushi
Your first hire happens at the Hire 1 pad beside the fishermen at the waterfront. The pad shows the price, so step onto it once you have enough cash to cover that amount. The price can change as you progress, so read it each time you hire.

Everything else in the loop depends on this step. Fish comes from fishermen, and each fisherman catches a specific type of fish, so without one working there's nothing to carry to the kitchen. Kitchen upgrades use a different button, so make sure a new fisherman actually appears along the water before you move on.
Collecting Fish and Delivering It to the Kitchen
Head to the catch area beside the fishermen and collect fish. Watch the Fish counter at the bottom of the screen, since the opening sequence's first target is three. Having a fisherman doesn't mean you have fish in hand, so you still need to walk to the catch area and collect it yourself.
Return inside and bring the fish to the Deposit Fish area by the central cooking counter. Catching fish alone doesn't finish a sale, because the kitchen has to turn the fish into sushi for customers. For your first sale, carry the fish yourself so you can see each handoff happen.
Collecting Your First Cash From the Money Pad
After delivery, the tutorial asks you to wait while customers eat. Once the prompt asks you to collect money, head to the green money collection pad inside the restaurant and step onto it.
Money waiting at the pad isn't the same as spendable cash. Check your cash balance after collecting, because hiring depends on cash you can actually spend.
Merging Three Fishermen Into a Tier 2 Fisherman
Once the first service is done, the tutorial asks you to hire more fishermen until you have three in total. The prompt tracks your progress with text such as "Hire more fishermen (2/3)," then changes to "Merge 3 fishermen." Follow the arrows to the merge pad by the waterfront and step onto it.

Three Tier 1 fishermen merge into one Tier 2 fisherman. That's the point of merging: each fisherman catches only one type of fish, and merging unlocks a higher-rarity type. You can't pick the fish type directly, so merging is how you reach better fishermen and better catch.
Reinvesting Cash in Fishermen and Kitchen Upgrades
Your cash goes into two things: more fishermen and kitchen upgrades. Kitchen upgrades raise your cash per second, and you buy them by stepping on the button next to the chef's station. They're separate from hiring, so keep both in mind when you spend.
Let the kitchen set the pace. If fish piles up while the kitchen waits, complete a delivery before buying more catch capacity. A higher $/s figure on an upgrade shows its rate, but steady income depends on fish and cash actually moving through the loop, so check that first.
What to Check When Sales Stop in Sell a Million Sushi
If sales stop, go back through the loop and start from the last handoff that worked:
- The Fish counter isn't moving? Go back to the catch area and collect fish.
- Carrying fish? Deliver it at the Deposit Fish area by the cooking counter.
- Customers have eaten, but your balance hasn't changed? Step onto the green money pad inside the restaurant.
