The Depth King is a raid boss in King Legacy, the Roblox game, and it spawns every 3 hours in the Third Sea. The Legacy Pose, which costs 140 Robux, shows its next spawn time and location, and you can cut that wait by offering its drops to a talking tree near the boss island's altar.
| Boss Drop Offered | Time Removed |
|---|---|
| Depth Scale or Depth Crystal | 1 minute |
| Depth King's Blood or Turtle Core | 3 minutes |
| Depth King's Tail or Ancient Shell | 35 minutes |
How to Find the Depth King Raid Boss in King Legacy
Finding the Depth King comes down to timing and location. You need to be in the Third Sea when it spawns, and the Legacy Pose is the item that tells you when and where that happens.

- Travel to the Third Sea.
- Buy the Legacy Pose from the shop for 140 Robux.
- Hold the pose to see the Depth King's next spawn time and location.
Check the pose before you set out so you can plan the trip around the time it shows. Arriving early also helps, since the spawn is displayed well in advance and gives you time to get into position.
How to Shorten the Depth King Respawn Timer
Each material you offer removes a fixed amount of time from the timer. To use one:
- Collect one of the six materials the boss drops.
- Equip the material from your inventory.
- Walk to the boss island's altar, find the talking tree NPC nearby, and offer the material at the green altar.
- Keep offering materials until the altar turns red.
The timer can't go below 15 minutes. When it reaches that minimum, the altar turns red, and anything you offer after that does nothing. Depth King's Tail and Ancient Shell make the biggest cut at 35 minutes each, so they're the ones worth saving. One of them takes 35 minutes off a 3-hour wait on its own.
How to Beat the Depth King in Both Phases
The Depth King arrived with King Legacy Update 11, and it looks like a giant turtle that turns into an island. The fight has two phases, and the second one starts once the turtle is nearly out of health.
- Damage the turtle while it's still curled up in its shell.
- Keep attacking until it drops to 1% HP. It dives away, and an island rises from the sea.
- Fight the second phase on the island.
- Defeat the boss to open the gate to the chest room.
The boss has a large HP pool, so bring a few friends rather than trying it solo. Group play makes the damage easier to spread out across both phases.
Depth King Boss Drops and Pity Explained
Every drop from the Depth King has a pity counter. Repeat kills build toward a guaranteed drop, so a rare item won't stay out of reach forever, even after a run of bad luck. The table lists each drop with its pity count.

| Drop | Pity Counter |
|---|---|
| Depth Scale | 20 |
| Depth Crystal | 20 |
| Depth King's Blood | 40 |
| Turtle Core | 40 |
| Depth King's Tail | 240 |
| Ancient Shell | 240 |
| Depth King's Armor (chest) | 240 |
| Chronicle's Lore (chest) | 240 |
Depth King's Tail, Ancient Shell, and the two chest rewards all sit at the highest pity count, 240, so they take the longest to build up. Depth King's Armor and Chronicle's Lore come from the chest in the room behind the boss gate, so both depend on defeating the boss and reaching that room.
