How to Get the Trident of the Shells in Dress to Impress: All 3 Seashell Locations

Updated on September 3, 2026 (3 days ago)

The 2026 Treasure Hunt route to the Trident of the Shells has two stages in Dress to Impress: finish five gem mini-quests in Freeplay, then solve the three-shell puzzle inside Seashell Cove. Complete the gems in any order, carry one shell at a time to the pedestals, and claim the Trident when the reward room opens.

The seven Scarlet chests are a separate Treasure Hunt objective. They are not needed for the Trident route, so you can leave chest hunting alone while you open the cove.

Complete the five gem quests and open Seashell Cove.

Start in Freeplay. All five gems are required, but the order is up to you. Each row below is a separate mini-quest, and the landmark matters more than the color name if your server uses a different label.

Gem taskWhat to do
Red gemGo to the challenge near Scarlet and use its in-game prompt. Score at least 35 points.
Green gemNear the Volleyball Court, enter the marked stone doorway with the rectangular opening into the Backrooms. Reach the Lana cutout room and dig until the real green gem appears.
Purple or pink gemIn the Dressing Room, equip the Football and change its skin to Beach Ball. Then complete the Volleyball Court mini-game near the cave.
Blue gemTake the hammer from the bookshelf in Lana's Beach House. Break the large coconut near the Shop and collect the coin, then use it at the fountain in the icy Recording Studio room.
Yellow gemLight five unlit beach lanterns. The yellow gem appears at the foot of the main staircase leading to the beach.

After all five gem quests are complete, return to the cave entrance near the beach, close to Scarlet. Follow the entry prompt at the star lock. If the bubble obby appears in your server, finish it to enter Seashell Cove.

Find the three seashells inside the cave.

Search by landmark instead of shell number. The scenery stays useful even when the three spots are listed in a different order. Seashell Cove is small, but it has a talent for hiding things in plain sight.

1. Search the shipwreck barrel.

Go to the broken shipwreck and check the wooden barrel on its deck. The glowing shell is on the barrel.

2. Check the damaged barrel and broken planks.

Look for the damaged barrel surrounded by broken planks. Search around the barrel and timber until you see another glowing shell.

3. Check the top of the white circular arch.

Near the central Scarlet Doll treasure chest, look at the top of the white circular arch. Another shell sits above the main path, so check overhead before circling the room.

Place the shells to open the secret room.

Only one shell can be carried at a time. After each pickup, walk to the upper end of Seashell Cove and use the stone pedestals:

  1. Pick up one shell and carry it to the upper pedestal area.
  2. Place it on an empty stone pedestal.
  3. Return for the next shell and repeat until all three pedestals are filled.

After the third deposit, the barrier opens and the reward room becomes accessible.

Claim the Trident of the Shells.

Go through the opened barrier into the secret room. The Trident is in the center of the room. Interact with it to claim the reward.

You can also check the anchor for the Seashell Crown as an optional bonus. After claiming the Trident, save an outfit in Dressing Booths if you want to keep a look built around it.
