Stay near the Recording Studio and enter the cooking-show kitchen set. Search the shelving in the set for the Sugar bowl on the first shelf toward the left side. Check the shelves before looking around the rest of the room.
Interact with the bowl when the prompt appears, then glance at the checklist before leaving. If the Sugar line remains unchecked, move around the shelf slowly and try the prompt again from a closer angle.

Head to the beach boardwalk and use the Surfboard Shop and nearby tiki-hut area as your landmark cluster. The Butter is on a counter in this area. Look for the counter rather than trying to identify the item from a distant view of the beach.
