Cosmic Dog is the unit to invest in first in Candy Kingdom Defense, a Roblox tower defense game. Six of the seven SS and S units are Mythic evolutions, so the route to the top runs through base units you can get from banners. On the trait side, Oh My Glob has the biggest bonus, but it's also the rarest roll.
| Tier | Units | Investment recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| SS | Cosmic Dog | Top priority. Put your first big investment here. |
| S | Vampire King, Prism Unicorn, Adventure Man, Vampire Beast, Game King, The Elder Vampire | Core picks. Build your squad around them. |
| A | Rock Vampire, Belly Demon, Ice Wizard, Fire Wizard (Shiny), Stretchy Dog | Strong picks worth upgrading. Some are the step toward an S-tier evolution. |
| B | Unicorn, Blood Demon, Vampire Queen, Lemon Earl, Fire Princess | Good to use once you own them. Invest after your core is set. |
| C | Game Buddy, Adventure Boy | Lowest priority. Keep them if you plan to evolve them. |
How Evolutions Shape Your Candy Kingdom Defense Unit Investment
Tiers answer one question: where should your next upgrade or banner pull go? They're practical recommendations rather than fixed measurements, and game updates can shift them.
Six of the seven SS and S units are evolved forms, and each one grows from a base unit:
- Stretchy Dog → Cosmic Dog
- Rock Vampire → Vampire King
- Unicorn → Prism Unicorn
- Adventure Boy → Adventure Man
- Vampire Queen → Vampire Beast
- Game Buddy → Game King
Adventure Boy and Game Buddy both rank C, yet each is the starting point for an S-tier Mythic. A low rank means you shouldn't put your best upgrades into that unit as a final pick, not that it should be thrown away. The evolved form grows out of the base, so letting go of the base means letting go of the evolution. If you're aiming for one of these evolutions, hold onto the base until it's done. Otherwise, put your upgrades into units you plan to keep.
Where to Get Each Candy Kingdom Defense Unit
- Standard Banner: Stretchy Dog (Rare), Adventure Boy (Rare), Unicorn (Epic), Game Buddy (Epic), Fire Princess (Epic), Vampire Queen (Legendary), Lemon Earl (Mythic)
- Halloween Banner: Rock Vampire (Legendary), Belly Demon (Legendary), Blood Demon (Mythic)
- Season 1 Battle Pass: Ice Wizard (Limited), unlocked by reaching level 50, and Fire Wizard (Shiny) (Limited), unlocked by finishing the premium Season 1 Battle Pass
- Candy Shop: The Elder Vampire (Secret), for 15,000 Candy
Five of the six base units behind the Mythic evolutions come from the Standard Banner, which makes it the main route into the evolution paths. Ice Wizard and Fire Wizard (Shiny) are the Battle Pass units, so they're worth working toward while you play the pass.
Candy Kingdom Defense Trait Tier List and What the Odds Mean

| B | Stretchy | 18% | +8% range |
| B | Sharp | 18% | +8% damage |
Oh My Glob has the biggest bonus of the 11 traits, but at 0.2% per roll it's also the hardest to land. The S-tier traits give large boosts at 0.8% to 5% odds, and the A-tier traits give one strong stat at more common odds. The B-tier traits come up most often, with small bonuses of 8% or a 12% cost cut.

Chasing a rare trait takes more rolls, so the rarest one is also the most expensive to land. A common trait on a unit you'll keep all game can be a better use of crystals than waiting on a 0.2% roll. If you have crystals to spare, aiming high makes sense, but a solid trait you land soon is often the better value.
How Trait Rerolls Work at Castle Lemongrab
Trait rerolls happen at Castle Lemongrab, and each reroll costs one Trait Crystal. A crystal spent on a unit you later swap out is wasted, so set your squad before you roll. Then follow these steps:
- Pick the unit you plan to field.
- Decide which trait suits its job in your squad.
- Roll until you land it, or until you reach the crystal budget you set.
For a closer look at the trait system itself, see Candy Kingdom Defense traits.
