Deadeye and Supernova are the two Traits to chase first if you want one roll for general PvE. Deadeye is the crit-damage pick for long fights. Supernova adds damage, cooldown reduction, attack speed and movement, so stages go down faster. Fortune also sits in S, but for a different job: it's built for farming and adds no combat stats.
How Anime Zero Traits Are Ranked
This is a PvE ranking covering stage clears, boss fights, crit-focused builds and farming. It's not a PvP ranking. Broad combat stats and clear speed count the most. Crit specialists come next, and a Trait that raises Coins, EXP or drops earns its spot for farming. Survival matters only when the stages you run hit hard.
Rarity doesn't set the tier. The chances in the tables are the published roll rates, and a common roll can still be weak. Tiers are a judgment call that weighs combat against farming, and a Trait can rank in S for its job without being the best pick on every weapon.
Here's the full ranking at a glance:
| Tier | Traits | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| S | Deadeye, Supernova, Ferocity, Sniper, Fortune | Top combat rolls and a farming roll |
| A | Razor Focus, Overkill | Narrow crit upgrades |
| B | Hunter, Power III, Swift III, Focus III | Solid alternatives |
| C | Vitality, Power II, Swift II, Focus II | Survival and stopgap rolls |
| D | Power I, Swift I, Focus I | Temporary upgrades |
S Tier
| Trait | Chance | Effects | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deadeye | 0.01% | +20% Damage, +5% Crit Chance, +50% Crit Damage | Crit damage in long fights |
| Supernova | 0.01% | +24% Damage, +12% Cooldown Reduction, +20% Attack Speed, +3 Walk Speed | Broad combat and clear speed |
| Ferocity | 0.04% | +18% Damage, +8% Cooldown Reduction, +14% Attack Speed, +2 Walk Speed | All-round combat |
| Sniper | 0.04% | +12% Crit Chance, +15% Crit Damage, +8% Attack Speed | Crit-focused weapons |
| Fortune | 12.63% | +25% Coins, +20% EXP, +20% Drop Rate | Farming rewards |
S tier isn't one universal best Trait. It holds five rolls that suit different builds. Deadeye and Supernova sit at the top for general combat, and Ferocity and Sniper are close behind for mixed fights and crit builds.
Fortune doesn't add any combat stats, so its S spot is about farming. It's the only Trait that raises Coins, EXP and drops all at once. Supernova can help you farm faster too, but Fortune is the roll that boosts the rewards themselves.
Deadeye vs. Supernova: which Trait should you keep?
Deadeye is the crit build's roll. Its +50% Crit Damage is the highest crit damage bonus on this list, and its +5% Crit Chance helps those crits land more often. If your weapon already depends on crits and you spend most of your time in long fights, keep Deadeye.

Supernova is the broader pick. It gives +24% Damage, +20% Attack Speed and +3 Walk Speed, plus +12% Cooldown Reduction, so you hit harder, attack faster, move faster and get your skills back sooner. It has no crit stats, but it's useful for fast farming and speedruns too, so don't write it off as a combat-only roll. The in-game card shows 12% Cooldown Reduction. Some guides list 13%, so check your own Trait Index if the numbers look different.

Pick Deadeye for a crit build. Pick Supernova if you want a broader boost across damage, speed and movement.
Sniper and Ferocity as alternatives
Sniper bundles crit chance, crit damage and attack speed into one roll. It's a strong pick for crit-focused weapons, though Deadeye's crit damage is bigger.

Ferocity is the all-round roll. It covers damage, attack speed and cooldown reduction at once. If you can't land Deadeye or Supernova, Ferocity is the next roll to chase.
A Tier
| Trait | Chance | Effects | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Razor Focus | 1% | +13% Crit Chance | Crit chance |
| Overkill | 1% | +40% Crit Damage | Crit damage |
A tier is made of single-stat crit rolls. Deadeye and Sniper cover the same job with more stats attached, which is why they sit higher.
Overkill and Razor Focus on crit builds
Overkill's +40% Crit Damage is the second-highest crit damage bonus on the list, behind only Deadeye. It adds nothing else, so it only pays off on a weapon built around crits.

Razor Focus has the largest Crit Chance bonus on this list at +13%. Like Overkill, it does little on a weapon that doesn't crit.

B Tier
| Trait | Chance | Effects | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hunter | 1.83% | +10% Damage, +5% Cooldown Reduction, +10% Attack Speed, +1 Walk Speed | Mixed combat stats |
| Power III | 4.21% | +8% Damage | Damage |
| Swift III | 4.21% | +12% Attack Speed, +1 Walk Speed | Attack speed and movement |
| Focus III | 4.21% | +10% Cooldown Reduction | Cooldown |
B tier is the solid middle. These rolls give a real bonus, and they're good stand-ins while you chase S tier. Hunter is the only one with four stats, and Ferocity beats it on every stat the two share.
Power III, Swift III and Focus III are the level III rolls. Each one is a clear step up from its level II version, so they're worth keeping over the C-tier rolls.
C Tier
| Trait | Chance | Effects | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vitality | 7.66% | +25% Max Health | Survival |
| Power II | 8.42% | +6% Damage | Damage |
| Swift II | 8.42% | +9% Attack Speed, +1 Walk Speed | Attack speed and movement |
| Focus II | 8.42% | +7% Cooldown Reduction | Cooldown |
Vitality is the only survival roll on this list. It's situational: it helps when stages hit you hard, and it adds nothing to damage. The II rolls are smaller versions of the III rolls above them, at 6% against 8% Damage, 9% against 12% Attack Speed and 7% against 10% Cooldown Reduction. Use them as stopgaps while you roll toward B tier or better.
D Tier
| Trait | Chance | Effects | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power I | 12.64% | +4% Damage | Damage |
| Swift I | 12.63% | +6% Attack Speed, +1 Walk Speed | Attack speed and movement |
| Focus I | 12.63% | +4% Cooldown Reduction | Cooldown |
D tier is for temporary use. These are the smallest versions of the three stat lines, and they're among the most common rolls, so they're the ones you'll see first. Common doesn't mean worth keeping. Keep one only until you roll something better.
Should You Keep or Reroll Anime Zero Traits?
Traits attach to weapons, so decide one weapon at a time. If a weapon already has an S-tier combat roll, keep it. Sniper, Razor Focus and Overkill belong on crit builds, and Fortune belongs on a weapon you farm with.
Reroll when a weapon has a C or D roll and you want something stronger. Rolling is random and replaces the Trait the weapon has now, so a good roll can be lost. Only roll away from an S or A roll if you're willing to risk it for another S-tier pick.
Matilda handles rerolls from the Areas menu, and each reroll uses a Trait Reroll. The Anime Zero Traits guide covers the menu steps and the full effect list.
