Traits in Anime Zero are tied to the weapon you select, so the first reroll decision is which weapon deserves the resource. A strong result on a weapon you plan to replace does not help your main build. This guide lists all 18 traits, explains what each buff is good for, and shows the Matilda route for replacing a weapon trait.
Anime Zero is still in active development, so a menu label or reward rule may change after an update.

The table shows the displayed roll chance for every trait and the stats it adds to the selected weapon. Use the last column to narrow your target before you spend Trait Rerolls.

How to enchant weapons in Anime Zero
For the trait reroll route, use the Traits area and find the Enchanter NPC Matilda. Check the weapon name before you press Reroll because the result applies to the weapon selected in this panel.

- Open the Areas menu.
- Select Traits to travel to the trait station.
- Find Matilda, the Enchanter NPC.
- Use the arrows beside the weapon name to select the weapon you want to improve.
- Check the weapon's current trait and your available Trait Rerolls. If the current trait already fits your build, stop here.
- Select Reroll to replace the current trait with a new roll.

The weapon selector matters when you have more than one weapon available. Do not rely on the last weapon you used or the position of the panel. Read the name shown beside the arrows, then check the current trait one more time before spending the reroll. When the action finishes, the selected weapon has the new trait and the old one is replaced.
How to use Auto Reroll and Trait History in Anime Zero
Auto Reroll handles repeated rolls after you decide which traits are acceptable. It is useful when you have a clear target, but a wrong Keep Traits selection can make the system roll past a result you wanted to keep.

- Open the trait selection or Keep Traits menu at Matilda.
- Select every trait you are willing to keep. Add a result only if it supports the weapon's job.
- Enable Auto Reroll.
- Confirm the selected weapon, the Keep Traits choices, and your Trait Rerolls balance.
- Start the rolls. Auto Reroll stops when it reaches one of the traits you selected.
- Open Trait History afterward to review earlier rolls.
Keep the list narrow when you are chasing one specific build. If you select a trait by mistake, review the settings before starting again instead of assuming the next roll will protect the result you wanted. Trait History helps you review what appeared during the session, but it does not replace checking the Keep Traits list before you roll.
How to get Trait Rerolls in Anime Zero
When your balance is low, check the reward sources that are available in your current game build. The exact reward rules can change, so treat these as places to look rather than guaranteed payouts.
- Clear available game modes or Story content and check the end-of-run rewards.
- Claim daily or quest rewards when they include Trait Rerolls.
- Check achievements and milestones for one-time rewards.
- Use the in-game Codes menu and the Anime Zero codes page for changing code rewards.
Do not spend every reroll on a temporary weapon. Save enough for the weapon you expect to keep, especially before you start using Auto Reroll.
Best Anime Zero traits for damage and farming
For a critical-damage build, Deadeye is the main target because it combines Damage, Crit Chance, and Crit Damage. Sniper, Overkill, and Razor Focus are useful alternatives when you want to improve one part of a critical-hit setup instead of chasing the full Deadeye package.
Supernova is the broad combat pick. Its Damage, Cooldown Reduction, Attack Speed, and Walk Speed bonuses help a weapon handle several parts of a fight at once. Ferocity and Hunter are also practical combat rolls when you want a useful result without waiting for a top-end target.
Choose Fortune when the weapon's job is farming. Its Coins, EXP, and Drop Rate bonuses matter more for resource runs than a small combat upgrade. For broader weapon and accessory choices, the Anime Zero weapon and accessory tier list can help you decide which weapon is worth keeping before you reroll it.
Pick the weapon you plan to keep, choose one build goal, and check the result after each roll. Once the trait supports that goal, stop spending Trait Rerolls just to chase a different name.
