Adopt Me Throwback Egg Quest Guide for The Hunt: Roblox 20

Updated on September 18, 2026 (about 8 hours ago)

To complete the Adopt Me! stage of The Hunt: Roblox 20, you need to hatch the event's Throwback Egg and then return to The Hunt Hub to claim the connected Roblox avatar reward. Those are separate steps: the egg can hatch a Blue Cat or Pink Dog, while the event reward is The KittyKånka.

The Hunt: Roblox 20 runs from September 17 through September 28, 2026. Here's the full route from entering Adopt Me! to checking that the Hub has registered your quest.

How to Start the Adopt Me Throwback Egg Quest in The Hunt: Roblox 20

You can enter Adopt Me! through the Adopt Me! portal in The Hunt Hub, or join the official Adopt Me! experience directly when the live event route allows it. You do not need to complete every other Hub quest first, and this main Adopt Me! UGC route does not require Roblox Plus.

Bring at least 400 Bucks before you start. That is the price of the event egg, so arriving with the currency ready keeps you from having to leave the quest area before the important purchase.

Where to Find Eggburt and Buy the Throwback Egg in Adopt Me

After you load into Adopt Me!, look just outside the Nursery for Eggburt and the nearby Throwback Egg stand. Speak with Eggburt, then use the pedestal to buy the event egg for 400 Bucks.

Make sure the item you receive is the Throwback Egg, not a regular egg from another part of the Nursery. Once it is in your inventory, equip it so the event's Needs can appear and add progress toward the hatch.

How to Hatch the Throwback Egg in Adopt Me

The quest objective is tied to hatching the event egg, not merely buying it. Keep the Throwback Egg equipped and complete the Needs it presents as you play. Follow the live need icons and respond to the requests the egg gives you instead of trying to use a fixed task order.

Common Adopt Me! Needs can involve actions such as sleeping, eating, drinking, or going to a particular place. If you want a refresher on how those requests work, use the Adopt Me! Pet Needs guide, then return to the event egg's own requests. Keep completing the displayed Needs until the Throwback Egg hatches.

You may see 600 XP quoted for this egg, but treat it as a progress reference rather than a guaranteed official requirement. The egg's live Needs and hatch state are the reliable signals that this stage is finished.

How to Claim The KittyKånka After the Adopt Me Quest

When the egg has hatched, leave Adopt Me! and return to The Hunt: Roblox 20 Hub. Open the completed Adopt Me! year quest and claim its reward there. The Hub should mark the Adopt Me! stage as complete and let the event progression continue.

The reward is The KittyKånka, an avatar item. It is separate from the Blue Cat or Pink Dog that may come from hatching the Throwback Egg in Adopt Me!, so do not treat the pet result as proof that the Hub reward has already been claimed. Check the Hub's completed or claimed state before moving on.

Adopt Me Throwback Egg Quest Troubleshooting

If the quest is not progressing, work through these checks in order:

  1. The egg is equipped: Select the Throwback Egg itself before completing Needs. Having another pet or egg active can keep the event egg from receiving the relevant progress.
  2. The displayed Needs are complete: Follow the current requests until the egg's progress advances. Do not assume that buying the egg completes the quest.
  3. The hatch has happened: The Adopt Me! portion is finished when the Throwback Egg hatches, not when you purchase it.
  4. The Hub claim is complete: If the egg already hatched but the UGC is not showing as claimed, return to The Hunt Hub and check the Adopt Me! reward before buying another egg. The Hub is where the event completion and reward claim are registered.

Once The Hunt Hub shows the Adopt Me! quest as claimed, you have completed this stage. Finish the route before the September 28 event window closes, and keep the distinction clear: hatch the Throwback Egg in Adopt Me!, then claim The KittyKånka in the Hub.
