The box came with the Halloween: Hauntlet Returns update, which Uplift Games released on October 9, 2026.
Where to Buy the Adopt Me Poltergeist Box
The Hotel sits at the center of Adoption Island, and the box is on display in its lobby. The display stands beside an odds sign, so you can read the chances before you pay.
Bring 13,000 Candy Corn and follow this route:

- Head to the Hotel at the center of Adoption Island.
- Buy the Poltergeist Box from the display in the Hotel lobby.
- Open it once to get one pet.
Earning the 13,000 Candy Corn
Candy Corn comes from two places. Defeating the Ghost Gallery boss pays out Candy Corn, and some graves in the Crypt hold it too.

Poltergeist Box Contents and Odds
Each opening gives you one of three pets. The table lists each pet's rarity and its listed chance.

Is the Poltergeist Box Worth 13,000 Candy Corn?
That depends on how badly you want Bubblegeist. It has a 4% chance per box, so set a Candy Corn budget before you start opening them.
For scale, ten boxes cost 130,000 Candy Corn. Skelicorn is listed at 120,000 Candy Corn, so ten boxes cost 10,000 more. Skelicorn needs its own route first, though: Uplift Games says you need a Lightning Lever hidden in the Crypt to bring Skelicorn back to life.
