Adopt Me Matcha Cat Pet Guide: How to Obtain and Upgrade

Updated on September 20, 2026 (about 3 hours ago)

Matcha Cat is the Legendary chase result from Adopt Me's Cat Cafe update, but getting one is not as simple as buying a pet directly. You need a 75 Robux Kitty Biscuit, and each biscuit gives you a separate 2.50% chance at Matcha Cat.

This guide covers the Cat Cafe route, the other biscuit outcomes, the Trade License rules for a player-to-player alternative, and the Full Grown requirements for turning your copies into Neon or Mega Neon pets.

How to Get Matcha Cat in Adopt Me

The direct route starts at the Cat Cafe on Adoption Island. The cafe's Kitty Biscuit gives you one roll from its cat pool.

  1. Go to the Cat Cafe.
  2. Buy one Kitty Biscuit for 75 Robux.
  3. Take the biscuit into the cafe's cat area and use it there.
  4. Check the pet you receive. Matcha Cat is the Legendary result, so another cat means that biscuit did not produce Matcha Cat.

If you want another attempt, you need another biscuit. The published odds are per biscuit, so a previous result does not improve or reduce the next roll.

Matcha Cat Kitty Biscuit Odds and Cost in Adopt Me

Every Kitty Biscuit costs 75 Robux and can award one of the three Cat Cafe pets below.

PetRarityChance per Kitty Biscuit
CattuccinoRare87.50%
CatteUltra Rare10%
Matcha CatLegendary2.50%

The 2.50% figure is roughly one chance in 40 for each biscuit, but it is not a guarantee after 40 attempts. The official Cat Cafe notes do not list a pity counter or a fixed number of biscuits that guarantees Matcha Cat, so set a Robux limit before you start rolling instead of treating a certain spend as a promised result.

How to Make a Neon Matcha Cat in Adopt Me

A Neon Matcha Cat takes four Matcha Cats of the same species. You also have to age all four pets to Full Grown by completing their Needs before the Neon Cave will combine them.

The Neon Cave is underneath the main bridge between Adoption Island and the Neighborhood. Its combination pedestal is the place to merge the four eligible pets.

Follow these steps when your copies are ready:

  1. Collect four Matcha Cats. You can use pets you pulled yourself, pets from trades, or a combination of both.
  2. Complete pet Needs until all four are Full Grown. If even one copy is still at an earlier age, it is not ready for the merge.
  3. Travel to the Neon Cave under the main bridge and place the four Full Grown Matcha Cats in the combination area.
  4. Confirm the merge to create one Neon Matcha Cat. The new Neon can be aged again, which is important if you plan to make a Mega Neon.

How to Make a Mega Neon Matcha Cat in Adopt Me

The Mega Neon route repeats the same idea at the next stage: four Neon Matcha Cats must each be Full Grown before they can be combined.

  1. Make four Neon Matcha Cats, using four Full Grown base Matcha Cats for each Neon.
  2. Age each Neon Matcha Cat to Full Grown by completing its Needs.
  3. Bring the four Full Grown Neons to the same Neon Cave pedestal.
  4. Combine them to create one Mega Neon Matcha Cat.

From an empty starting point, that is 16 base Matcha Cats total: four base pets for each Neon, multiplied across four Neons. That number is the pet requirement, not a guaranteed number of Kitty Biscuits or a guaranteed Robux cost, because the 2.50% roll can take any number of attempts.

A regular Neon glows in specific areas of the pet, while a Mega Neon cycles its glow through the full rainbow. You need the second Full Grown aging cycle even if all four base Matcha Cats were already fully aged before their first merge.

Can You Trade for Matcha Cat in Adopt Me?

Yes. Trading can give you a Matcha Cat without relying on another Kitty Biscuit, but it depends on another player offering one. Because Matcha Cat is Legendary, you need the game's Trade License to trade it; the license covers trades involving Ultra Rare and Legendary pets.

Keep the exchange in Adopt Me's in-game trading grid. Do not promise outside items or money, and avoid cross-trading or outside purchases. If you are aiming for a Neon or Mega Neon, traded copies still need to be the same species and meet the same Full Grown requirements before you combine them.

If you want one Matcha Cat, decide whether you prefer the direct 2.50% roll or the uncertainty of finding a trade offer. If you want a Mega Neon, plan around four Full Grown Neons, or 16 base Matcha Cats from scratch, before you spend Robux on the Cat Cafe route.
