All 30 Crates and Knife Pools in Survive the Killer

Updated on November 1, 2026 (3 days ago)

Crates are sealed boxes that hold knives, the weapons players use, and opening one gives you a single knife from that crate's set. Some crates stay in the shop all the time, some came out during past events, and a hidden Underground Market holds its own crate.

How Crates and Their Knives Work

A crate is a sealed box with a set of knives inside. Each knife, which the game also calls a slycer, belongs to a rarity tier.

Opening a crate gives you one knife, picked at random from that crate's set. Each crate sets its own mix of tiers, so the same pull can go very differently from one crate to the next. Since every pull is random, no crate promises a particular knife, and even a strong crate can give you a low-tier one. That makes opening closer to a gamble than a purchase.

Permanent Crates in the Shop and How to Buy Them

Permanent crates in the shop stay available all the time, so you can buy one whenever you have enough coins or gems for it. Each shop crate takes either currency, and each has its own price. Coins come mostly from playing rounds, while gems are harder to come by, since daily objectives are the main free source.

The Smouldering Chest is the most expensive crate in the shop, and every knife in it is legendary or higher. The Mining Crate is mostly rare knives, with only a small chance at spectrum.

The Underground Market and the Black Market Briefcase

Not every crate is sold in the regular shop. The Underground Market is a separate, hidden area that sells the Black Market Briefcase. Like the shop crates, the briefcase is permanent, and it is the most expensive permanent crate in the game. Since it sits outside the shop, it is worth checking what it can give before you spend.

What Historical Crates Mean

Historical crates came out during past events, such as Halloween, Winter, and Valentine's. That is what the label tells you: when a crate was sold, not whether it still exists or whether its knives are still around.

Which Crate Is Worth Opening

Pick a crate by what it can give, not by its price or name. The price only tells you what a crate costs, while its tier mix tells you what you can actually pull. If you're after one particular knife, check that it's in the crate at all, because a crate without it can't give it, no matter how many times you open it. If you want top tiers, look for a crate with no low-tier knives, and if you'd rather have a mix, choose one with a wide range.

FAQ

Q.

Can you craft knives from crates?

Yes, but only some of them. Crafting happens at a table near the middle of the lobby, where you combine knives into a new knife.

Q.

Where is the Underground Market?

It's in the game's lobby, reached through a hidden entrance rather than the shop menu. That means you won't see the Black Market Briefcase just by browsing the shop.

Q.

Can you trade knives from crates?

Players trade knives with each other. Some knives cannot be traded, so check the item before agreeing to a swap.
