In Star Sailors, you build a team of Partners and fight turn-based battles. It's a collectible RPG for iOS and Android that launched worldwide on June 30, 2026. The Magic Explosion split the world apart, and you set out on a voyage to rebuild the Human Kingdom. Along the way you collect Partners and Monster Partners, and the team you build from them decides how well you handle each fight.
Your Adventurer can take one of seven classes, and each class has a job on the team. Warrior, Swordsman and Highlander are Fire Attackers, so these classes deal the damage. Paladin and Cleric are Light Defenders, who take pressure off the rest of the team and keep attackers alive. Sage and Enchanter are Earth Supporters, who heal allies and boost the team.
Battles play out in turns, and since there is no speed stat, you pick which character acts and in what order each round. Your Adventurer and two Battle Partners fight on the field, while Assist Partners stay in the back to support them and Monster Partners add passive bonuses for the whole team. Basic attacks build up SP for your skills, and every hit adds to a Chain that multiplies your damage, growing faster when you hit an enemy with an element it is weak against. The Overdrive gauge fills as you fight, and using it gives your whole team a big SP boost and stronger Chain attacks.
Between battles, you move through the story one chapter at a time. Farming stages and events supply the gold, experience and upgrade materials you need to level up, and stamina limits how much you can play at once. The long-term goal is a balanced team with strong gear that can handle raids, PvP Arena battles and the hardest bosses, where Overdrive timing matters most.

Gear Sets
Gear sets are groups of matching equipment in Star Sailors, and each character wears five pieces of gear. Wearing two or four pieces from the same set unlocks a bonus during battle. Each set drops from a Conquest boss, and the best pick depends on a character's element and role.

Partners
Partners are the companion characters who join your Adventurer in Star Sailors. Battle Partners fight on the front line, while Assist Partners stay back and support the team with buffs, debuffs, healing and shields. Players recruit Partners on Standard Recruit and Pick Up Recruit banners or earn a few through early rewards, then build them up with Memory Pieces.
Monster Partners
Monster Partners are the sixth member of a Star Sailors team, alongside your Adventurer, two Battle Partners and two Assist Partners. They stay off the battlefield but give the whole party a Blessing at the start of each battle, plus a Monster Skill you trigger yourself. Each one has an element, and duplicate copies can be fused to try for a higher rarity.
Star Sailors gameplay tips
- Start with the beginner missions, then clear the story through chapter 5. The missions walk you through the main systems and pay out early experience, gold and upgrade materials. Chapter 5 unlocks almost every mode and mechanic, so side content can wait until you get there.
- Use Sweep to farm stages you've already beaten. Sweep clears a stage you've already beaten without replaying the fight, so repeat farming takes much less time.
- Break enemy shields before your strongest skills. A broken shield makes the enemy take more harm, so your strongest skills hit harder.
- Save SP for your Overdrive turn. Check your SP before you commit to skills and plan a turn ahead. Spending it on weak attacks right before the Overdrive gauge fills wastes the window when your team hits hardest.
- Don't ignore your Assist Partners. Their passive bonuses can add more to your team than small upgrades to a Battle Partner.
- Equip complete Gear Sets early. Matching pieces add set bonuses, which give a quick boost while you don't have better gear yet. Hold your upgrade materials for pieces you plan to keep, since upgrading gear you'll soon replace is a waste.
