Biomes are weather for your luck: the game rerolls the island's state every second, and when Windy, Hell, Starfall, or another biome lands, its native auras temporarily drop at far better odds. Reading the biome announcement in chat and switching targets is the closest thing Sol's RNG has to a skill ceiling.

How biome rolls work
The biome system rolls once per second against each biome's spawn chance, announces winners in chat, and runs the biome for its listed duration before falling back to Normal. Common biomes like Windy and Snowy cycle constantly, while the rare tier is measured in millions of per-second rolls. Two of the rare biomes bend the rules: Cyberspace only appears through biome items, and Singularity replaces one in every hundred Starfall spawns.
Playing the windows
A biome window is a timed discount on its native auras, so preparation beats reaction: keep potions banked and a target list per biome, then spend the window rolling instead of shopping. Biome items like the Biome Randomizer and Selector let late-game players force windows instead of waiting, which is also the only practical route into Cyberspace and its exclusive auras.
- Learn the chat colors of the biomes you care about and mute the rest.
- Match your chase list to biome durations; a 99-second Null window is not the time for a million-roll target.
- Treat Starfall spawns as lottery tickets for Singularity, and be ready when it hits.
FAQ
How do biomes spawn in Sol's RNG?
The game rolls every second against each biome's chance. Most spawn naturally, but Cyberspace needs a Strange Controller or Biome Randomizer, and Singularity replaces 1 in 100 Starfall spawns.
Do biomes affect all auras?
No. Only a biome's native and exclusive auras get better odds while it is active; everything else keeps its normal base chance.
Can you force a biome?
Yes, with biome items like the Biome Randomizer and Biome Selector, which trigger biome rolls on demand and are the main way to reach Cyberspace.
