Raid bosses are the tough enemies you fight in Seven Knights Re:BIRTH's raid modes, and beating them is one of the main ways to earn better gear. The game has two groups of them. Regular raid bosses appear in the standard Raid, which opens after you clear Adventure 4-10. Sudden Raid bosses show up in a separate mode that opens as players across the server clear regular raids.

What Raid Bosses Are and How the Two Types Differ
In both modes, the boss is the main challenge, and the reason to fight it is the gear it drops. Regular raid bosses give you that gear at every difficulty you clear, so you can keep moving up as your team gets stronger. Sudden Raids are less predictable. A Sudden Raid is triggered by raid clears across the whole server, so you can't plan for one, and once it opens, it runs on a set schedule.
How to Enter a Raid and a Sudden Raid
Each challenge in the regular Raid costs either Keys or Raid Entry Tickets. Tickets come from the Honor Point shop and from events. Sudden Raids work differently. Each run needs one Sudden Raid Entry Ticket, which you earn from the higher regular raid difficulties and the Honor Shop.
Raid Difficulty and Rewards Explained
Each regular raid has six difficulty levels, and higher levels give better gear. Difficulties 1 to 3 drop equipment from 4-star up to 6-star. From difficulty 4 onward, you also get Chaos Essence and Oblivion Essence, which are used to reroll or reset equipment, along with a Sudden Raid Entry Ticket and an equipment box.
The box is the biggest step up at the top. Difficulty 4 gives a Shared Equipment Box, while difficulties 5 and 6 give a Dedicated Equipment Box, which is the stronger of the two. If your team can handle it, aim for difficulty 5 or higher.
After you clear a difficulty, Booster Mode unlocks for it. Booster Mode multiplies both the stamina cost and the rewards, so each run pays more, but it also uses more stamina.
How Raid Bosses Fight
Raid bosses are built to punish long battles. Every one of them gets stronger as the fight goes on, whether its attack keeps rising each turn or it gains a boost over time. That makes speed a real advantage, since the boss gets stronger with each turn you spend.
Two of them also bring helpers that protect them. Ox King summons Kotan, and Astrea summons Dike. While those helpers are alive, the boss takes less damage and hits harder. Each helper also deals a massive hit on its third basic attack, so deal with them before that turn comes up.
How to Prepare Your Team for a Raid Boss
Start with status ailments. Each boss inflicts its own, such as Bleed, Stun or Blind, and ailments can weaken or stall your main attacker at the worst moment. Bring at least one hero immune to each ailment the boss uses, and open the boss's Strategy button before you enter to check what it does.
Next, match your main attacker to the boss's resistance. Most raid bosses resist one kind of damage, either magic or physical. Against a magic-resistant boss, bring a single-target physical attacker, and against a physical-resistant one, use a magic attacker. Ox King is the exception, since no resistance is listed for it.
Then build support around that attacker. Buff Removal strips the shields and damage resistance that protect some bosses and their helpers. Debuff Removal clears the attack and defense penalties placed on your team, and healing or barriers keep everyone standing once HP drops. Apply your long-lasting buffs and debuffs before the attacks start, so they're still active during the fight.
Which Raid Bosses Matter Most
The three regular raid bosses share the same reward ladder, so the one that matters most is the one your team can clear at the highest difficulty. If you're after top gear, the Sudden Raid bosses are the bigger goal. Their 6-star gear has a better chance of rolling four bonus stat lines, and Essence of Memories, a crafting material, is used to guarantee a piece with four bonus stat lines.
Sudden Raid Rewards and Rankings
Sudden Raid rewards depend on how much damage you deal to the boss. Scores are calculated daily at a fixed time, and rewards are mailed once they're tallied. After each Sudden Raid closes, there's a cooldown when you can check rankings but can't fight.
FAQ
Which heroes protect against raid boss status ailments?
The right heroes depend on the boss. Karon or Lee Joohee cover Bleed, Victoria covers Paralysis, and Sieg covers Stun. Yui or Ryan cover Burn, Xiao covers Death, Guan Yu or Chloe cover Shock, and Zhao Yun covers Blind.
Can you choose the gear you get from a Sudden Raid?
You can't pick the exact piece, but before you enter, you can lock in two set effects and four main stats. That cuts down on randomness, so the gear you get is more likely to match the build you want.
Do you get a Sudden Raid ticket back if you quit?
No. A Sudden Raid Entry Ticket isn't refunded if you abandon a run halfway through, so be ready before you start.
How do you see the teams that cleared a raid?
On the team setup screen, tap the Clear Records button at the bottom left. It shows teams other players used to clear the raid, and you can copy one to use yourself. In Sudden Raids, the magnifying glass icon shows the teams of top players.
