Raft is a survival game played on the open ocean, where keeping fed and watered is a constant job. Raft recipes are the ingredient combinations that turn fish, meat, fruit and vegetables into dishes and drinks. Dishes are cooked in the Cooking Pot and smoothies are blended in the Juicer, and once you know how each station works, keeping your hunger and thirst under control gets a lot easier.

How Raft Recipes Work
Every recipe uses exactly four ingredients, and each one belongs to a specific station. Dishes are made in the Cooking Pot, and smoothies are made in the Juicer. Many recipes have a stand-in ingredient, so a dish that asks for a potato will often take a beet instead, and some accept any mix of the two. If the four ingredients don't match any recipe, you get Leftovers instead.
Raft Cooking Pot Recipes
The Cooking Pot is where every dish is made. You craft it from Planks, Plastic, Metal Ingots, Vine Goo and a Bolt, then place it on your raft. To cook, put four ingredients on the pads around the pot, add Planks to fuel the fire and start the cook. When the dish is done, you collect it with a Clay Bowl.
Every dish restores hunger, and most also add bonus hunger on top of your bar. That bonus works better than regular food, so dishes with a large bonus keep you full for much longer.
Raft Juicer Recipes and Smoothies
The Juicer makes every smoothie. It needs a Circuit Board to craft and a Simple or Advanced Battery to run. Place four ingredients on it, start it, and after 90 seconds fill a Drinking Glass with the finished drink.
Smoothies are mainly about thirst. They quench it strongly and add a thirst bonus, and a couple also add an effect of their own.
How to Get Raft Recipes
Most recipes turn up in loot boxes and barrels as you explore islands, abandoned rafts and the open sea. A few Juicer recipes can also be bought at the Trading Post.
You don't need a recipe to cook. Put the right ingredients in the Cooking Pot or the Juicer and you get the intended dish or drink anyway. Recipes are still handy as a reference, since they spell out exactly what each dish needs.
Which Raft Recipes Matter Most
If thirst is the problem, four dishes restore it: Head Broth, Coconut Chicken, Salmon Salad and Steak with Jam. Head Broth stands out, with the most thirst and the most bonus hunger of any dish, so it covers both needs at once.
Three dishes also come with a special effect. Hearty Stew lets you evade death once, Catfish Deluxe makes you run faster, and Salmon Salad increases your lung capacity. Cook these when you specifically need that effect.
FAQ
How long do Raft dishes take to cook?
Cooking Pot dishes take 90, 150 or 210 seconds, and Hearty Stew takes 120 seconds. Smoothies take 90 seconds in the Juicer.
Do any Raft smoothies have a special effect?
Two do. Redbeet Shot gives a health bonus, and Spicy Pineberry boosts swimming speed.
Can you hang Raft recipes on the wall?
Yes. Recipes can go on walls, pillars, the Cooking Pot and the Juicer. Hanging one on the Cooking Pot's board keeps the ingredients in view while you cook.
How much fuel does the Cooking Pot need?
It burns one Plank about every 50 seconds. A 90-second dish uses just under two Planks, and the longest dishes use just over four.
