PlateUp! is a co-op cooking and restaurant game where you build your own kitchen and run it alone or with up to three friends. You start with an empty room, so your first job is choosing which appliances to buy and where to put them. Each day starts with the Preparation Phase, where you spend coins on blueprints (the plans for items you can buy and place) and move things around to get ready for the rush. Then customers arrive, and you seat them, take their orders, cook, serve and wash dishes.
Customers have limited patience, so the team needs to keep orders moving. The coins you earn from serving customers pay for new blueprints and upgrades, so a good day gives you more to work with the next day. As days pass, new Food and Customer cards make the restaurant harder to run, and new recipes unlock as you play, so the kitchen you built on day one may need changes later.
Your long-term goal is to get a run past Day 15, which lets you pick three cards to carry into a Franchise for your next restaurant or scrap them for XP. Between runs, you return to your Headquarters to upgrade your gear and check achievements. The Office is where you choose a floorplan and main recipe, and the Garage is where you start a run.

Appliances
Appliances are the stoves, sinks, tables and machines you place in your restaurant to cook, serve and clean up. You get them by buying the blueprints the shop offers, and a Research Desk can upgrade a blueprint into a faster or safer version. Conveyors and Grabbers link them together into automated kitchens.
Recipes
Recipes and dishes are the foods you cook and serve in PlateUp!. Each run starts from a base recipe picked at Headquarters, and base recipes unlock as your experience level rises. Food cards add mains, extras, starters, sides and desserts to your menu during a run, and Heat and Chill cards make the challenge harder or easier.
Wallpapers and Floors
Wallpapers and floors are decorations that change how a room looks: wallpaper covers the walls and flooring covers the floor. They are cosmetic and don't affect gameplay, and each one can be swapped for a new design but not removed. New designs come from decoration days, which arrive on Day 6 and then every fifth day, offering three wallpaper and three flooring styles at random for free.
Collectibles
Achievements
PlateUp! Steam achievements range from serving a particular dish to reaching Overtime Day 15. Each unlock is saved to your Steam profile, and the goals cover cooking, long runs, kitchen chaos and early steps. The fire achievements and Overtime 15 are the hardest to earn.
PlateUp! gameplay tips
- Store any blueprint you want to keep in a Blueprint Cabinet before the Preparation Phase ends. Loose blueprints are lost when the phase ends, so the cabinet keeps them safe.
- Set up a Research Desk right next to a Blueprint Cabinet and use it during service. The desk upgrades blueprints only, so do the upgrade while the item is still a blueprint, not after you've placed it.
- Time Fajitas to reach the customer while they're still sizzling. Once they cool, they need reheating, which takes extra time in the middle of a busy service.
- Decide what to do with your cards when a run goes past Day 15. Carrying three cards into a Franchise starts your next restaurant with them, while scrapping them gives you XP instead.
