In No More Room in Hell 2, a co-op zombie shooter for up to eight players, a character who dies is gone for good, along with the gear and perks they built up. You play a survivor called a Responder, dropped into areas overrun by the dead, and you rely on your squad to get through each run. Along with objective missions, the game has a wave-based Survival mode and a Solo Mode for practice.
Your team starts spread across the map, so finding your squad comes first. From there you complete objectives while you scavenge for weapons, melee tools, and ammo. Zombies respond to noise, so a burst of gunfire can pull in a crowd. A bite can infect you and start a countdown: Phalanx Pills buy you time, but only Gene Therapy cures it, and if the clock runs out you rise again and turn on your own squad.
Each run is about reaching the extraction point with your Responder still alive. Gear and perks carry over from run to run, so a Responder who keeps surviving gets a stronger start each time. The four difficulty levels, Beginner, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare, change which zombie types show up and how objectives play out. Weekly assignments earn Merits, which go toward cosmetics.

Weapons
No More Room in Hell 2 weapons fall into firearms and melee tools, with thrown explosives as a separate case. Firearms cover pistols, a revolver, a submachine gun, rifles, a battle rifle and shotguns, and they accept attachments such as scopes and suppressors. Melee weapons range from pipes and wrenches to axes, knives and baseball bats. Guns reach farther but use limited ammo and draw zombies in, so melee suits quiet, close-range work.
Maps
No More Room in Hell 2 has three kinds of maps. Objective maps are larger missions built from a chain of objectives that end in extraction, and some change which objectives are active between runs. Survival maps are smaller spots where your squad defends speakers against five-minute zombie waves. The Tutorial teaches new players the basics, and Solo Mode lets anyone practice on every map without the risk of losing their character for good.
Ammo Types
Ammo in No More Room in Hell 2 comes in calibers, and each gun only fires the caliber it was built for. Some calibers feed more than one weapon, such as the 9mm pistol and submachine gun or the shotguns that share 12-gauge shells. Ammo is scarce by design, and much of it comes from unloading the guns you find, so the rounds your team has on hand often decide which guns you carry.
NMRiH2 gameplay tips
- Run the Tutorial before joining a public match. It walks you through melee, shooting, objectives, and inventory, and a mistake in a public match can cost you a Responder.
- Learn each map in Solo Mode first. Solo Mode has no permadeath, so you can learn the routes without risking a character.
- Wear a headset and call out early. Players spawn apart, and proximity voice only reaches teammates nearby, so speaking up soon after you spawn is how the squad finds each other.
- Save bullets for runners, armored enemies, and anything blocking the only exit. Ammo is scarce, so melee the slow zombies you can walk around.
- Leave as a group once you reach the extraction point, and skip side rooms on the way. Rewards rise with each squadmate who gets out, but a Responder who dies at the exit loses what they're carrying.
